HERB MAGIC FOR BEGINNERS by Ellen Duggan is a breath of fresh air.It is not often that you open a book and have the author speak to you, but with this lovely little work, that is what happens.Within a page or two, you find yourself sitting back comfortably with Ellen and taking in her love for the living planet.You can hear her chuckle as she wanders through the many years of knowledge she has aquired on this very pertinent journey.I bought this book because it came on a list with Scott Cunninghams works and so it should.Two wonderful artists who are both able to bring you into there works and pass on their knowledge.

I really like this book. This is the second time I’ve boughten it. (Because I misplaced my first copy.) I find it to be a bit of a hidden gem. I think the cover doesn’t show how useful it can be and even though it’s simply written I really like many of them “spells”

Iam a huge fan of all of Ellen Dugans books and this one didn't fail to teach me just what I expected and wanted to learn. She has a nice writing style and makes all her words easy to understand. As well as always adding in a bit of humor..She is a very knowledgeable Hedgewitch as well as a Master Gardener, so she is a wealth of information in either or both categories..

This book does a fantastic job of presenting herbal magic in both a fun and entertaining way. While a bit optioned the author does a splendid job of presenting what this discipline is, how to perform it and what it is used for. She even provides some good gardening tips. I've used one of her spells to rid myself of nightmares that i have been having for months and it worked. It's more of a book for beginners but it would also make a great addition to anyones library.

Very good tips for anyone - beginner or more advanced. The book is set out so you can go to just one section or another, find what you're looking for and not have to read pages and pages of theory and background. The first few pages alone will set you up with a basic knowledge of moon cycles, candle colors that associate with each day and planetary influences of each day of the week.

Hence the title "Herb Magic FOR BEGINNERS". See I have been into rootwork and herbs for a lot of years so this would be a good read for someone who is just learning the art of herbal magic. If you are already familiar with this then I wouldn't recommend it to you because you might find it slightly boring. But a begginner would absolutely love this

A great book for those with an interest in medicinal and magical herbs. I often recommend this book for beginners, it is simple to read, easy to follow and there is an air of sarcasm to her writing.

This book lives up to its title. Easy to use, down to earth with added humour. Has become a firm favourite.

Another first rate book from Ellen Dugan.Have bought several books from her and they are all very good and easy to read.
