Needed an iron rest for my little steam iron, it works great.

Thick and heavy duty silicone iron rest that is the perfect size. It makes using the iron safer and easy to use. Cools off the iron fast and safely. Reduces fire and burn hazards so that really helps. Very functional part for ironing. If you have a Dritz mini iron buy this pad it is a good value for the money

This silicon rest works great with my small iron that is used for quilting. In fact it. Probably would support a regular side iron. But I haven’t tried that.

It works perfectly but it is distinctly larger than the iron’s footprint, so less convenient for small-space sewing and class set-ups. It is advertised as the specific iron pad for that brand and size of iron.

I love that this rest is the perfect size for my Dritz travel iron. It seems the description might overstate its heat protection, so I use it moderately. I had an ironing board cover once with some type of engineered fabric that was great for months, and then began melting from heat, so I try to use extra care with these kinds of things. I do not chance leaving a hot iron flat on the rest for long periods of time, but I do leave a hot iron sitting upright on it for several minutes at a time. That has never caused any melting or scorching issues. That said, I would not trust this rest to protect good wood furniture. Weird things happen.At sewing events, the rest adds convenience because my travel ironing-board can be free of the iron when I want to flip it over to its cutting side. I turn off the iron before packing up to allow it to begin to cool. Once everything else is packed, I place the warm-not-hot iron flat on the rest, and slide them together into the iron's pouch. So far, so good.

This is a wonderful asset for the Dritz mini iron which does not automatically turn itself off when not in use. I recommend’

Perfect fit for small travel iron

A good idea, but not great. Dritz's Mini Silicone Iron Rest is a good holder for my sibling's mini iron (for travel), but the heat transfers rapidly to the surface below it. The product, being silicone, won't burn of course, but the high level of heat that is on the surface(s) beneath it is shocking.He ended up flinging this in the closet and is now using something else on which to rest the little iron. He didn't trust leaving the hot iron on this with that heat transference.
