Disc Cutter with 7 Punch 1/4" To 5/8" Jewelers Set

I make little coins for gifts. This works great to punch out copler and silver coins.

I like that this punch is adjustable to fit different metal weights - now my fingers are not in the way!

Absolutely a piece of wasted wood and metal. The punches are not sharp enough to cut a decent circle. My sterling sheet ended up a bent mess.The handle design is ok but the rest is worthless. I would give it zero stars.

I have to say, from a beginners point of view, I was a bit suprised and happy all tied up in a neat little package.... Yes, after reading the reviews of others, I was not sure what I was getting myself into, but these did receive the best so far. I work with metal, from 36 gauge to aprox. 14 gauge metal sheets in copper, brass, and tin. I got my package today and opened it up. I did not remove the oils that were on the tool since reading the comments prior, people had a hard time with the cutting discs being easily removed or going through the hole properly. I tried first with a 36 gauge sheet of brass, and no problems, slick as warm butter... Next I tried the 14 gauge tin, (that already had a pattern in it), and whola, another slick as well you know what!, Hmmm, you get the picture.... I think the machine oil also helped with this... so I am having hubby check his workshop for some machine oil, because I can clean machine oil off of pieces of metal, but I can not replace chipped disc cutters because I removed the oil. So now I must save my money to get the bigger version of this. Thank you for such a wonderful disc cutter, I really do enjoy it ad plan on getting many uses out of this.

It is great for stamping out welding plugs for automotive sheet metal welding. I used my 20 ton press to knock them out. I am using 22g mild steel.Quick, clean and QUIET!!!!I like the clamp as it hold the dies against the material to get the best hole possible.The clamp is a little bit it the way but could be replaced with a bolt to gain some space.I like it a lot. ThanksAfter 10 discs the thread would not hold. I replaced the handle with a longer Allen head bolt. I drilled a hole in a block of wood for the longer bolt so the block would lay flat. Even better than the original handle.I think the base could be about .250" (6.5mm) thicker and would eliminate the thread problem.Tim

this is my first die punch set, but judging by the price and the other options available, this set is great for the new user. the sizes are smaller than the pictures make them appear, but they are adequate for the work i'm doing. the hardest part of using this set is getting your material aligned inside the set. for precision-placed punches, it takes a bit of figuring and tracing out to ensure a centered punch. otherwise, i found this set to be very easy to use. the punches do get stuck, but you can simply use a smaller size punch to force it out the bottom.very happy with this set! i would recommend it to anyone getting started with these types of tools.

I was a bit skeptical about this tool until I tried it out. It cut clean and was easy to align. It is a good life long investment if you use discs to be domed as I do in my work.I'm very pleased. If only they came in graduated sizes, with the same number of sizes. I'd buy them all without hesitation.
