Incredible read when you are broken and humbled.
This book explained the gospels and parables and who Jesus is, after a tragedy in my life, that changed my life. I believe God used my tragedy to bring me into a closer relationship with my savior and that this book helped unlock a more intimate understanding of the Bible versus I that I’ve always known but didn’t hit home.

Insightful & inspiring but…
It relieves and focuses you to examine the internal… how I make excuses, look the other way, seek mine first (and sometimes only)… how I want God a little and a lot of me. Hold on while I discover I am full of me and need more of Him (John 3:30)

The title alone speaks for itself "The End of Me." As a Christian we need to focus more on what God has called us to do instead of what we want to be. In the book Kyle laid out how we need to decrease so God can increase. I recommend this book for any small group that needs a good book to read when dealing with self-image, or self preservation, this book help to lay out a plan on how your mental self and physical self, and flesh self, will need to die to the spirit of God each and everyday. In the book Kyle mentions we are broken so that we can be made whole. without Brokenness there's no humbleness and there's no necessity for Jesus we have to desire a necessity for Jesus in order for us to know he's the only one we can lean on. He talked about that we replace another word when we don't allow Jesus to handle our Brokenness and that word is pride. the minute Pride enters in, pride will tend in making us look at our own self as being the necessity, and not our Brokenness needing Jesus. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I recommend it to anyone who needs to remember with a daily reminder to place themselves in last place by daily placing God in His rightful 1st place.

Excellent Book!
This book is filled with wisdom. The author has a gift for expressing profound truth in a simple way that is easily understood. He is transparent, making it easier for us to acknowledge our own mistakes and weaknesses. He is engaging, often using humor in an appropriate way. I really don't have enough superlatives to describe this book, so I will just say it has the potential to change your life. It has renewed my desire to live "the end of me" everyday -- for that is when the love and power of God can do great and wonderful things not only in us, but through us. There is a world of hurting people out there who need the love and power of God to touch their lives; it is only when we come to the end of me that God can enter and do wonderful and mighty things. Great book -- one that probably should be read periodically, because the "me" in us is very resilient and very cunning, always looking for opportunities to take over the throne of our lives! At least mine is!

Good read and reminder
This was a good way to start the year. I can be selfish and self centered at times. I know it’s not the way of Christ but like most of us we tend to get in our own way. Kyle does a great job of story telling and helping us see the way of Christ, which ultimately is the pathway to the end of me.

A Truth That Shows What It Really Means To Follow Christ
Kyle Idleman has an easy way of writing and teaching that just grabs you. Honest, to the point, and transparent. Endearing, but it stings a bit, like a truth telling friend that you know is right. It's a subject that we all know we need to do, but self is hard to put down. Reading this book feels like you are sitting down at the kitchen table with a friend, and talking. This book will surely challenge you on dying to self and following Christ, solely. Comfortable to read, but it will sure make you think. Think you're not selfish? Think you are a totally sold out Christian who does it all perfectly? This book will make you realize that it's only when you give your whole life over, do you even begin to start your Christian walk with Christ. Get this book, and change your whole way of thinking!!

KYLE never disappoints
IF one was going to read a book this year other than the bible, this is what you need to read. Idleman takes the teachings of Jesus and shows how opposite the teachings of the world and the teachings of Jesus are. The world teaches if you can't hang with the big dogs stay on the porch, Jesus taught if you want to be first, humble yourself and be last. Idleman does a awesome job of explaining what a real Christian ought to look like, using our master "JESUS" as a example, he was THE king of glory worthy of all our service, yet served others ' even when wrestling with his own troubles at the dawn of his worst day ever' to be a example of how we are to die to ourselves and serve others. Idleman also gives extraordinary teaching on how to be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT which may have been my favorite part and very helpful to me. Loved this book

A beautifully articulated inspiration to shift our focus back to the King of Kings and off of ourselves, back to authentic faith
Kyle Idleman has once again moved me out of spiritual lethargy. Sometimes the reflection in the mirror stings a bit, and moves us to greater humility. The End of Me is another page-turning, heart-searching book, moving me to greater intimacy with Christ. I couldn't put it down! If you are searching for the secret of joy-filled living, Kyle has masterfully captured the essence of what it truly means to live a blessed life through practical application of biblical truth. Inspiring, motivating, and compelling us to boldly embrace our God-given gifts for kingdom glory, not for the applause of others. A great reminder to return our focus to the dance for an audience of One! Awesome. And, just when you thought that "Not a Fan" or "God's at War" couldn't have been more influential or timely, Kyle Idleman's "The End of Me" is another great and timely message for a culture in crisis, for such a time as this! Beautifully articulated.

For me this is Kyle's best book along with gods at war
For me this is Kyle's best book along with gods at war. Today it's all about elevating ourselves and putting on a show, this book gives the message that it's ok to embrace our brokenness and that's how Jesus expects us to come to him.

Very good read
I liked the real-life examples that made Jesus and His influence in our lives come alive. I liked that the author does not sacrifice adherence to Scripture to keep things interesting

God can meet us when we are at the end of ourselves. Great read to those who feel overwhelmed by their life situation. Learn how God will meet you and carry you when you run out of answers to respond to life's situations. Clearly and honestly written.

Great read
This is a very good book. It is well written, and gets to the point that we must get to the end of ourselves to really fully trust God.

A must-read
If you're looking to be a different person or to be someone who makes a difference, read this book. If you're not looking to make a difference or to be a different person, read it anyway. You won't be sorry...
