So far so good.. just replaced one broken spring, seems to be holding up fine. I will know more after the cold winter months. Product does not comes with oplastic covering over springs.

These springs we similar in dimensions and strength to my original springs. However, these ones had a slight angle built into the attachment point which keeps them closer to patio surface and less likely to slip off the anchor.

My pool guy wanted to charge me $100 to replace just one of these on my pool cover! These devices are very sturdy and easy to install.

Helps with the unexpected wind we get on occasion.

I should have read the description more carefully as I have a concrete pool deck. All turned out wellas I only needed three and made some brass clamps to cleat the straps to the needed lengths.
