This is the best primer I've found at any price.If you're looking for something to moisturize or add glow, this probably isn't the best product. While it feels amazing going on, it dries after a few minutes. I don't use foundation and I don't use this all over my face. I use it all around my eyes and sometimes my cheekbone area, if I want to use the colored makeup sticks.Where it "shines" is as a primer. I find that while it's still soft and liquidy, it's very easy to apply my eye makeup and a little color from a color stick (I also use elf for that, find it just as good as the stuff that costs 10 times as much), and blend them into the skin for a very natural look. Then once it dries on the skin, that makeup stays on all day! I've tried primers and I've tried the spray-on fixatives and tried both, and this is the only product that keeps my makeup in place for a good eight hours or more.

This product is good over all.I did read somewhere on the product or the packaging you could wear this by itself.Do not expect, that if you wear this by itself, it will provide coverage.This will add sparkle or a little glitter to your face but over all that is it.I gave this product five stars because it does feel nice on your face, it is light weight, does or can help moisturize. If you do not use any other moisturizing product, it can't and won't work alone I don't think. What I mean by that is if you have dry skin, don't expect this to work if it's the only "moisturizing" product you use.

I used the ELF Poreless Putty Primer for years before diving into skincare as of late and stumbling upon this new ELF Glow Primer Stick. I wanted to try somethng new for a while, and ELF has really never let's me down. You can't beat the price for the quality of their products either.I've used it for several weeks now, so the amount of product pictured in the images is what's left after using it every single day since I received it in the mail on June 22nd, 2021. It is now July 12th, and there's still a pretty good amount left considering that I use this generously all over the face and neck.As far as the formula, it is very moisturizing - I think you can get by with using this as a moisturizer if you're lazy like I used to be. My skincare routine is extensive nowadays, but I used their Poreless Putty Primer as my sole skincare product outside of makeup for years (don't do this) and I can see myself doing the same with this in a pinch. It's also a true primer. I look for a bit of stickiness in my primers, and this one is actually a bit tackier than their Poreless Putty Primer but with easier application and spreadability. The formula is very smooth and easy to apply. I apply all over the face and neck with the stick and tap it in with my fingers afterwards.My make up stays on, and it doesn't smudge. I can't give this product all of the credit for this, because I have made many changes in my skincare routine that has improved a lot of the issues that I used to have such as oiliness that would make my makeup slide off in the middle of the day. But the fact that it goes on immediately after all of my skincare and doesn't turn me into an oily mess in the middle of the day is awesome. I do have some trouble blending my blush during application right after using this sometimes, but I blame that on overapplication and not waiting long enough for it to absorb into my face. I also normally have damp hair when applying makeup, and the water on my hairline probably doesnt help. I'm not a makeup artist. :(The only thing that let me down a bit was the name. Glow and shimmer means different things to different people, and to me it usually means that it would have a bit of glitter. This has absolutely no glitter/shimmer. I like glitter, but it's not for everyone. No big deal. It's probably for the best anyway because this is something you would apply underneath your makeup. My makeup is exremely sheer in coverage, but most people's foundation is not and it wouldn't show through anyway. In this instance, 'Glow' means dewy. I also like dewy, and this primer is DEWY. You will glow.The smell is pleasant. It's a very faint coconut smell, but a bit sweeter. I like it a lot.The applicator is nice. and very pretty. I like the width, and there is a lot of product in there. I also don't see myself using it as fast as I used their Poreless Putty Primer because of the applicator. I used to dig my nails into the other one and consistently used way too much.Moisturizing, does what it says, smells nice, it's long-lasting, and it's super affordable. Name is misleading, this product has no shimmer. Packaging is super cute. I just bought their sunscreen from the same set and will review that one next. Overall, it's great. Buy it!

This is not a primer at all it's really just more of a moisturization stick and for that it works but it does not work for a primer. And it's a little bit sticky but it's got good moisturizing feeling to it but if you want something that is a primer that's lightweight and not sticky this is not the item.

I have fair and sensitive skin , I get dry very easily. I was pleasantly impressed by this product. I’ve tried it as an under layer on my whole face as well as putting it under, on and around my eyes and across my cheekbones. It gave a glow and light to my face without looking “sparkly”. I have also used it on top of my full make up (concealer, foundation, bronzer and blush) and it still worked the same way. It’s light enough to not look or feel greasy or make it appear you’re wearing too much makeup. It has really helped on the mornings that I am more tired and look weary with giving a life and freshness to my eye area.

I was looking at a much more expensive line and couldn’t make myself pay $80.00 for the 3 product line. I ran across this and decided to try it. This is so lightweight yet highly effective moisture. My lines are diminishing, skin feels firmer and the color stick blends well. I highly recommend this primer stick. You don’t know you need it until you use it. Then I wondered how I lived without it. Great stuff. Pair with the elf color on eyes, cheeks and lips. Omg. So easy.

I ordered this item as well as the suggested two monochromatic pairings. I imagine a lot of women have noticed the minimal makeup "stick" ads out there all over social media but did you also notice the price$$?I'm having a lot of fun using these three e.l.f. items for the same purposes i.e. moisturizing and highlighting. I'm older now and no longer need or want the "heavy" look. Moisturize first and use the two shades however you like. Double up on cheeks and maybe the darker shade to accent lids and lips? You decide. A touch of mascara and I feel good to go. The stick sizes are relative to the small cost and I will reorder the "set" most definitely.
