Awesome Tire
This is such a great tire. Very all purpose. I usually ride on the street to get to trails (2 miles approx) and it rolls great on pavement. More rolling resistance on the trail than the dissector, but its marginal. I popped my dissector Exo on a rock a week ago. Decided to get this minion ii EXO+. I like it so much better for my style of riding. It is a beast on steep climbs! GRIP CITY! Helps you keep a nice line when corning and going fast. If you like steering with your back tire braking, go with the dissector. As for EXO+ durability, dont know yet (but i expect great things, cant tell weight difference). I will update post later after more rides. Also, it was a little tough to get the tire on the wheel without the tool. I would advise getting a bead popper tool. Happy riding!

Incredible traction, heavy duty construction!
I run all mountain trails in PA, with lots of roots, loose rocks, larger rocks, and wet soil. The Continental X-Kings that my bike came with had constant issues with breaking traction, causing wrecks that really shouldn't have happened. They also were very prone to pinch flats. Nothing sucks more than sitting on the side of a trail 3 miles into state gameland changing blown tube as the sunlight begins to fade - except maybe the time my front end broke traction in a fast turn, causing me to wipe out and damage my front brake lever... When i received the DHR II and opened the box, i was instantly blown away by how much thicker and more durable the construction of this tire was, as compared the the Conti, whose sidewall feels like paper compared to the DHR II. Mounting the tire on my 29" rim was a piece of cake. I wanted to get out on the trail right away, so i didn't have time to convert it to tubeless, but i plan to. I knew i was in for a treat, just by running my hand over this tire. The compound is sticky and the tread is aggressive. An hour later, i was on the trail, and man did this tire perform! I shredded those rocky uphills without once breaking traction, and kept the rear stable and predictable on the downhills and turns. Braking could not possibly get any better - the tire digs in and gives great control on the downhills. I can't wait to get the DHF for the front, so i can hit the turns fast without my front end getting loose on me. If you're counting ounces on your bike, this is not the tire for you. If you want durability and maximum traction in rough terrain, stop shopping and buy this tire!! This is so far the most profound upgrade i have done to my bike.

One of the Best
These are top of the line tires. Great traction and durable. I will continue to buy these tires as long as I own mountain bikes.

Grippy, Spendy.
Running this as a front in combo with a Rekon. It’s SUPER grippy, which great in my use case.I chose the DHR2/Rekon combo after reading an article on Maxxis tire combos, and I’m pretty satisfied overall. Works great on downhill stuff as well as trails, though it certainly isn’t the fastest combo out there.

Excellent rear tire for eMTB enduro
This is my go-to tire on the rear (29” eMTB). They really need to offer this tire on “Amazon Subscribe and Save,” because, like many shredders of this tire, we go through these one to two times a year. This tire combo/spec is near perfect as a rear for gripping dry dirt/loose chunk for precision PR riding, BUT when needed-also for getting the rear loose, sideways, and absolutely ripping the dirt.
