very good idea this product. The brackets could be less flimsy and stronger, but do the job so far.

I purchased this cord wrap in October 2024 to protect the fraying cloth cord of my steam iron. The cord length was ample, which was a plus. It comes with a single securing tag, and I initially thought I'd lost one when I opened the package.Unfortunately, during normal use, the cord tends to slide down, as the provided tag doesn't hold it securely in place. I've also found the width of the cord is a bit too narrow, meaning it doesn't overlap when wrapped. This causes it to come loose and separate from the iron's cord, requiring me to rewrap it frequently. I've had to use additional Velcro ties, kept slightly loose to allow for stretch, to keep it securely on the cord.Suggested improvements to supplierIncrease the width of the cord wrap to allow for sufficient overlap when wrapped.Include additional Velcro or suitable ties to help secure the wrap to the cord.I'm providing this review in June 2025, after having a good amount of practical use with this cover. It's really important that this cover fits well, as some setups might have the cable or steam pipe exposed, which can get hot. This cover must effectively shield those hot components for safety

Arrived very quickly, was the perfect size for my new Iron, fed up of frayed cords so decided to give this a try, works perfectly keeps the cord fairly rigid so no kinks, makes ironing easier and safer, will buy again.

Ordered this to protect my new steam generator cable as the last one wore through. I don't think it is really designed for the steam generator as it doesn't go all the way round the flex. I had to put little cable ties around it to hold it & while they work it keeps working loose. I think it would be Ok for a normal steam iron. Also it doesn't really fit in the cable tidy extender I bought as well. So persevering.

It easy a good length and thick enough to completely encase the iron tuesday which got hot before.

Good length easy to put in place.
