Great knee scooter/walker
Great knee walker. Easy to assemble. Way to use. Sturdy. I thought the basket was silly.... but that's the best part! The only bad part is you have to watch the turn radius so you don't tip over. But I think that's too be expected with something like this. Padding on knee seat is pretty firm. My knee was sore but I got used to it. Bigger wheels go super easy on rugs and carpet. I used this only in the house, but I'm sure it handles good outside also. This has two emergency brakes that you can set. But you have to squeeze the handle grips really hard to set. This is a quality knee scooter.

Top of the line
My 6’2”, 330 lb son has been using this for 2 months and loves it. It’s a very sturdy scooter that performs well indoor and outdoor. So far there hasn’t been any terrain where he hasn’t been able to use the scooter. We have to add air to the tires periodically, but otherwise it has held up very well. It folds easily and while a little heavy, I’m still able to get it in and out of the car myself. Even his orthopedic doctor commented on the scooter, asking where we got it and saying it was one of the nicest he’s seen. Make sure you also get a cushion for the knee pad as it is a bit hard and can be uncomfortable without one.

Sturdy and solid - Great product!
I was debating to just continue with crutches or get a scooter-get a scooter. I can get around so much easier now. This product is sturdy, solid, comfortable, and comes with a basket. I checked the tires to verify full inflation, one was a little low, but easily rectified with an air pump (it does not come with an air pump). The breaks work great and have a locking feature for both breaks. The breaks are a rear braking system, on both rear tires, so you won’t face plant if you need to stop suddenly. There are multiple safety features when adjusting the handle bars and seat. There is a pin that hand screws in the selected notch and a fold over lever to further secure the setting. Solid construction. It is not going to fold down as easily or small as others, but I’ll take good construction over compact. Also, the turning radius is a bit larger than other products. The larger tires and frame need a bit larger turning radius. The wheels are just as they look-hardy and all terrain. I have rugs, wood floors, and tile. I have not experienced any issues using it on any surface. It goes over the different flooring and general debris just fine. The ride is smooth. I’m able to use little effort and it glides smoothly. The seat is a generous size, one solid piece, and well padded, so it is not necessary to get an additional cover or cousin. It is a little more costly over others, but with others you don’t get a basket and you will need more seat cousin, and the product is not as well constructed. So, by the time you get the other add ons, you will spend more for a a lesser product. If you need compact and folds down small, this is not the one you want. If you want well constructed, durable, and comfortable this will not let you down.

Best knee scooter overall for me
After surgery to reconstruct my foot and ankle, I was going to be in a cast, and unable to put any weight on my affected leg for up to 3 months. I’m in my 70s and don’t have the best greatest strength or balance anymore, so my options during my recovery were wheelchair, crutches, and knee scooter. After researching the various options, I settled on the knee scooter option, specifically the BodyMed All-Terrain knee Walker. I’ve been using it for a month now, and finally feel qualified to be able to give it a fair and balanced review. In summary, I have found it to be the best knee scooter for me. There are pros and cons to consider when you are deciding on YOUR best option. I will address them by features as follows: Design, Construction, and Quality - Pros: • Heavy duty design and construction. • Shipping was fast. • Assembly was easy; pretty much just the knee cushion and handlebars. • Frame, wheels, and brakes are fully assembled at the factory. • Folded, the scooter will fit in the back of most SUVs. • Dual hand brakes on the rear wheels offer exceptionally safe braking. • Brakes have an easy locking mechanism; important safety feature. • Inflatable tires allow safe travel over almost any surface; all-terrain. • The wide wheelbase makes it exceptionally stable. • Detachable basket allows you to carry items up to the size of a laptop. • Designed to accommodate people weighing up to 350 pounds. Note: ALL knee scooters have weight limits. Don’t exceed the limit. Design, Construction, and Quality - Cons: • The handlebar does fold down, but that’s as foldable as it gets. • The safety locking mechanism for the foldable handlebar takes some finger and hand strength to fold and unfold. My wife couldn’t manage it, though I could quite easily. • The scooter weighs 35 pounds; a factor lifting it in and out of a vehicle. • The tires initially need to be inflated; you need an air compressor or tire pump. • Turning radius is quite wide, but that’s a built-in safety consideration. • The wide wheelbase may make some areas of your home inaccessible. Cost considerations: • In some areas, you can rent knee scooters. I found this to be quite expensive over a 3- month period. Purchasing the scooter was a more cost-effective solution, a substantial savings over a rental. • Decide for yourself what YOUR best option might be.

SUCH a welcome reprieve from crutches!!!!
There isn't anything I don't like about this product. I feel like I've been let out of the jail my crutches created- I'm an older woman, not a weight-lifter, and my arms weren't strong enough to keep walking around with those crutches- I'd even lost my balance on them, fell backward and bruised my tailbone & hurt my spine- but NOT with this chair!! The tires do have to be blown up when it arrives, but there is zero-learning for this, it's sturdy, well-balanced, and SOOOOO much safer for older people- I'm not in constant danger, now of toppling over, there are WONDERFUL BRAKE-LOCKS on the handlebars that allow me to roll up to the kitchen sink & park it and wash dishes while on it, to the stove, park it, etc. and it does not roll out from under me. All of my tasks are so incredibly much easier with this chair- and the all-terrain tires have made it so that I don't have to remove any of the rugs in my house, it rolls right over them, no problem. The basket for carrying is a huge plus, also. HIGHLY recommend this BodyMed All-Terrain Knee Walker.
