Made for a guy but works great for a woman!
I spent hours online shopping for a reasonably priced travel vest that would make it unnecessary for me to carry a purse during a 3 week trip to southern Europe, and avoid the predations of pickpockets. First my husband and I ordered 2 vests from another company, and neither of them fit either of us. Next I got him a vest that fit him just fine, but which I had doubts would be right for me, even in a smaller size. I gave up shopping for a vest designed exclusively for women--very expensive, not nearly enough pockets, and very limited selection of colors. When I found that one very highly regarded travel company was touting "unisex" vests, that convinced me to go back to looking for one geared toward me. So glad I I ordered this one, which is perfect as well as very reasonably priced.. The inside zipper pouch (there's just one) is roomy enough for an RFID zipper bag into which I can easily fit my passport, a case for a few IDs and credit cards, and some cash. In the zippered outside pockets there's plenty of room for my large cell phone and a good mini-charger in one, a folding scarf in another, a folding sunhat in another, and sundries like pocket size tissues, hand sanitizer, dental floss, etc. in yet another, while still being remarkably lightweight. I love the fact that it is hip length, rather than waist length. I can comfortably wear it zipped or unzipped. I ordered a size L, charcoal gray (almost black), which will look great and like an "outfit" worn with jeans, a skirt or skort, yoga pants, a casual dress, even my waterproof black nylon overpants for boating and water recreation. I normally wear a large or extra large women's t shirt or top. (I don't like tops feeling tight across my shoulders), and it fits great. The length reaches my hip, and the vest fits comfortably even when zipped. I might decide to take out the sunhat and the scarf for our flight and put them back on an as need basis to limit the bulk, but it's perfectly comfortable even packed with everything I need. I suggest Amazon add savvy women travelers to the list of groups to whom to highly recommend this product. It has the tunic length many women prefer and, although there's only one inside pocket, it's large enough to be truly useful.

Reasonably Durable and A Good Value UPDATED 5/9/19
Initially, I thought it was way too light. Was looking for something a bit warmer. That being said seems well made, double stitched where stress on the seams might be an issue. Material seems to be a rip stop nylon type. Zipper teeth are not metal, but the zippers are metal. Plenty of pockets, two very deep ones, an inside one that my Galaxy S7 fits into easily, all with zippers(except the 2 deep ones.) As I said, very, very lightweight, but realized that means never too warm. Just wear something over it if needed.UPDATE: After wearing it near every workday since I got it,it's still ok, just have a problem with the stitching. Inside pocket let go after 4-5 months of heavy use, and the stitches between the right upper pocket and non-zippered pocket let go. All and all, considering the price and the heavy use it's gotten, I'm pretty happy with it. Thinking I'll have to order a new one pretty soon.

Economical way to reduce airline luggage fee
I bought this vest to eliminate the need to carry a purse during low-cost airline flights. I decided to travel only with a small bag that counts as a personal item, and my regular purse was too large to fit inside it along with needed change of clothes, toiletries, etc. I have a sturdy, safari-style vest with multiple gusseted pockets, but it was going to be an overkill for this trip. As other reviewers pointed out, all pockets are flat with no gusset, which I actually found beneficial as the vest remained streamlined. During the trip I wore the vest on top of a thin hoodie, and I wore my regular sized fleece jacket as the outermost layer with no problem. The open pass-through pockets under the armpits were great, as I was able to carry a small water bottle and snacks in them without adding another (albeit small and disposable) bag that could count against luggage allowance. I would not use it as a work vest because of its lightweight construction, but for occasional travel it is going to be fine, especially if you unzip the front zipper while seated. It is a one-way zipper, and the bottom tends to pull if the pockets are loaded. I usually wear women's size 8-10, and a medium vest fit perfectly on top of a lightweight hoodie. It was very handy to have all necessities right on me instead of digging into a purse, and I may even travel with this vest even when I can carry my purse onboard.

Waste of money
Okay, great photo, nice color (at least that was good). Now - cheap zippers, sticky, and catch on loose threads, REALLY cheap fabric, poor sizing, No INSIDE pockets, I could go on but you catch my drift.

If you saw it in a store, you probably wouldn't buy it at this price.
I've revised my review... from two stars to three, and removed extraordinarily harsh remarks.Yes, it failed to meet expectations. It does have all the pockets. The zipper remains "wrong". Normal for women's zipper to be left-handed, so... should I complain? It's still unsuitable to have the word "Military" related to this vest. Handyman... perhaps.Upon recieving this vest I was extremely disappointed. I don't think it is worth $30. In fairness I've used it, and find it useful. When I first wanted this vest, years ago, I needed lots of pockets for work and being handy around the house. I'm handicapped now, can't do "handy stuff', but the large pockets come in handy. You can put a quart mason jar in either or two pockets and stuff another pocket with your junk mail & still have pockets to spare. It's more handy than some bag you hang over a walker & you can hang it over your walker too.If you just need pockets, this is a extremely lightweight, probably durable vest of pockets.
