I'm a big fan of this supplement which has some adaptogenic properties as well as quite good anti-anxiety effects. This supplement has a unique history, as it is essentially ground up fish guts from a fish that only lives off the coast of France. This substance has been used since Roman times and back then was thought to increase stamina, overall health and virility. I've heard from colleagues that it is a first-line treatment for anxiety overseas before moving towards pharmaceuticals. I've found it to be quite helpful for many of my clients, however, it needs to be taken daily and can be cost prohibitive for some. There have been studies supporting it's use that can be easily found online, just put Garum Amoricum into google and you'll find a good number of links. A Japanese study showed that after 3 months of use it increased alpha waves - the same waves that are increased with meditation and that instill a sense of calm. This particular brand is manufactured in France and imported to the US.

This stuff works very well! It’ll take a few weeks to build up, so buy at least 2 packages to start with. It really helps me feel confident and able to handle whatever I’m wanting to tackle.

This was recommended to me by my alternative medicine doctor. I've been using it now for about 4 months now and I can tell an improved difference in my mood. It's pretty pricey so I may stop for a while to see what happens.

I've been taking stabilium for just under one month now because of sudden anxiety and trembling issues I developed after an injury. My naturopathic doctor wanted me to try these because it supposedly not only help anxiety, but with muscle pains (like normal fish oil, I suppose). After about 2 weeks, the trembling went away (not sure if it was the stabilium or just coincidental though). I'm still having anxiety attack problems, however. Because I'm very sensitive to supplements, I started the first week with only 1 pill, then bumped it up to 4 for the remaining 3 weeks. It's expensive for this sort of regimen. While it's not doing anything to harm me (no side effects - not even any fishy taste!) it's not obviously doing anything to help me either. I'm going to keep at it for another 2 boxes and then I'm going to ask my naturopathic doctor about another more effective alternative. If it starts to really work, I'll come back and edit this post. :)
