Given those specs, one can see that this blade was made for cutting stuff, and it does can well. I've made fire sticks, now drills and simple shelters with it, then turn around process a fish without a problem. I would consider this a wonderful "Jack of All Trades" knife. The way it was built gives you the ability to slide back on the handle, which transfers most of the knife weight forward, and generate more chopping power. Additionally, the design provides the ability to slide up on the handle, where you are shortening the blade at the center of weight distribution, which allows you to gain control of the blade for finer tasks. Their are knives out there for all walks of life and needs. I am 6'3", and wear a size XXL glove. This KnifeWorks well for me... I EDC the Esee 3, which was purchased as a result of how much I like the Esee 6, and it also feels great in hand and performs well. If I had to do over, I would have purchased this knife, from what looks like a typo above, a year ago when I first started thinking about it. But the rumors about 1095 rusting are much exaggerated, so I always strip the coating off an ESEE or Becker 1095 knife and then just put a mustard/vinegar/tomato salsa patina on the metal, and this is enough to prevent rust, unless you are in the habit of leaving your knives in standing water.
