Plenty of Blowerpower Power and Battery Longevity
I use DeWalt 20V tools as a platform for all my battery powered tool needs. I have Recip saw, Chain saw, long reach chain saw, Table saw, small 4" circular saw,Impact tool, Screw Drivers and Drills. They all perform exceedingly well for the battery powered tasks they are used for. I use my tools on a small farm and for remodeling homes. This blower is as good as any you can find in the battery powered market. I have gas powered. Gas powered have more force and you can refill gas to easily run all day. If you are needing professional level for long days of use get the gas powered. But for every day home owner use, this battery powered blower is plenty adequate for power, no need for messing around with gas and maintenance of gas powered. Battery power limits the period of time you will use it to about 15-20 minutes at full force, you can get a more time if you do not use it at full force, perhaps 1/2 hour using a 4Ah Battery. Most jobs do not require much more time than that for a home owner. If you are running this tool at full force it will heat the battery to the point that it must cool before recharging. I have several batteries for all my tools so that is not such a problem for me, I always have a few fully charged already. For the guy who has only 1 or 2 batteries it might be a problem if you have BIG jobs that you want to do today. . Put the hot battery after using it into your refrigerator to cool it down. They do get hot! It will allow you to recharge the battery much quicker than wating for it to cool at room temperature. I would reccomend having two 4Ah batteries charged up when you start your work. Use the first and put it in the refrigerator, use the second and then start recharging the first while you put your second battery in the fridge. Grab a beer while your at it and wait for the first battery to charge. Put your second battery now cooled onto the charger and get back to work! I am very pleased with my new blower. I used it to blow out my garage, driveway, patio and sidewalks with a 4Ah and 2 Ah battery. I used it blow off my roof and blow leaves out of my gutters with two 4Ah batteries. Plenty enough power and having 2 batteries gave me enough longevity to finish the job. If you want to blow your lawn of leaves and more, then plan to charge you batteries to get the job finished.

Versatile, dependable...a genuine work saver which is proving daily its worth.
One of my very favorite work savers. Amazing how many things I can find to use it on. One of those "why didn't I buy one of these years ago?" items that I heartily recommend to anyone who does his or her own yardwork, snow removal etc

Classic DeWalt
Classic DeWalt, blows nice, works great, only issue I see is the battery temperature, after running for about 20 minutes using the DEWALT® 20V MAX* 5.0 Ah DCB205G, other then that I am happy with this model

Cordless versatility with ample blowing power
Excellent product worthy of the Dewalt brand name. Runs through a 5 amp battery fairly quickly, but performs well while battery has a charge. Thankfully, I have two 5 amp batteries, so I charge one while using the other,. Works well!

Handy dandy!
Cordless has not yet been able to match the blowing power of an electric (corded) blower, but this one does very well. And because it's cordless, it's easy to reach for when needed. Just grab it and blow. I use this thing constantly! That wouldn't happen with my more powerful B&W corded blower. Too much hassle to get the extension cord out, run it from an outlet (which is usually far from where you need the blower) and then fight with the cord while you're blowing. The rear intake on the Dewalt was my biggest hesitation to getting this one. I always preferred the B&W models with air intake on the side... that way you don't have worry about your shirt getting sucked in. However, after getting used to a rear-intake blower, it's not too bad. You just learn to hold it off to your side, rather than in front of you (which to me feels more natural). It still does get my shirt from time to time. So, if Dewalt put the intake on the bottom, this would be a total winner. The other negative is the noise level... a very high pitched whine. I initially put earplugs in whenever using it. Now, it doesn't seem to bother me as much... but it is a rather loud & high-pitched noise. I do recommend earplugs. As for battery, yes this thing is pushing a lot of air and that takes power. However, I find a 5AH battery is lasts a sufficient amount of time. When the air push starts feeling anemic and that whine begins to drop in pitch, time to swap out the battery. I will say that swapping out the battery seemed nearly impossible - until I learned to pull the battery's release latch with my left hand WHILE PUSHING the battery out with the thumb of my right hand. If you're just trying to PULL the battery out from the release latch side with one hand, good luck with that. She's in there pretty snug.

Have about 4 batteries to run continuously
I really like this product. It's lightweight, easy to handle, and has a stay-on button so your finger doesn't get tired from pushing down on the trigger. It's far easier on the wrist and works as well as any gas blower, and with less noise. No ear protection is necessary. I love it... However, the only drawback is a single 20v Dewalt battery will give you about 20 minutes of continuous use. If you have 3 charging stations and 3 other batteries, you can keep them charging (a full charge takes about an hour,) and run it 'round the clock. Luckily, I do. But if you don't it's an investment. Last I checked it was $69 per battery. One more thing: I would say this tool is for small-medium sized jobs. Perfect if you own a home on a lot or small property. But I wouldn't use it for 2 acres of heavy leaves. In summary, I love this blower and I think it's a worth-while investment as it is easier to use, less noisy, and does the same job. The money you invest in batteries you will save on gas.
