Small, but work great
When these tongs first arrived, I thought that there would be no way that they would work since they're so small -- but they're great! The flat side goes underneath the waffle, and it helps you gently lift each waffle out, with no falling apart. They're easy to clean, and the sliding lever means that you can lock them into place so that they're closed. The red color is also fun!For years and years, I've used a regular set of tongs to remove waffles from the waffle iron, and the waffles would get stuck or fall apart. Not so with these tongs. These are one of those nice kitchen tools that you didn't realize you needed until you had one!

Not a very good design
Like the concept but not the actual product... Ordered these when I bought my new waffle maker thinking it’d be good for removing hot waffles but it’s pretty much useless. It doesn’t open wide enough to use the fork end to pry out a stuck waffle, and the spatula side isn’t wide enough to support a whole Belgian waffle without it drooping on both sides and tearing. I do better with a separate silicon coated fork and a spatula than this attached 2-in-1 jobbie.

Nylon, not silicone
The product name and description are inaccurate: these tongs are not made of silicone. They're nylon. This is obvious from touching them (they're hard, not soft) and from the heat resistance rating on the instructions (400F, while real silicone would be around 572F). I'm not sure why they didn't just describe them accurately, since for most purposes they're just as good as silicone tongs would be.They're also a bit cheaply made: the edges are a bit rough, and they don't line up quite reliably when closed. That said, they're still pretty effective at getting waffles out of my waffle iron. The diminutive size that others have complained about is actually perfect for getting into the waffle squares to grab it. I'd have rated it higher if they'd actually been what the description promised.

So what exactly is the point of these?
I bought this to hopefully remove waffles from our waffle iron after cooking. But they don't work for that unfortunately and I cannot see any possible utility for these things otherwise. Why would one need a separate set of tongs to pick up waffles? With so many kitchen gizmos you could have clogging up your drawers, I really can't see the point of these.

Smaller Tongues for a smaller job
If you have wrestled with trying to get the cooked waffles out of your waffle maker, these are a godsend. Their small size and easy to retrieve claw help you remove your waffles from the iron without damaging your waffle iron in the process. They are easy to clean, in the dishwasher or sink, close up to a small size for quick storage and have a comfortable and easy grip. These are a great value for the money and have a variety of uses, as regular tongs do, When not using for waffles.

Well made but didn't work for me
I make grain free waffles on a daily basis for my husband and sometimes they are difficult to remove from the waffle maker. The tool I had before this one had thin "fingers" and worked well however the rubber coating tore away leaving exposed metal to scratch the waffle maker plates. This new tool is all firm silicone but unfortunately the fingers are too large and curved too much to fit in and release the waffles so I am back to carefully using a fork to release and the Tovolo Tong to hold the hot waffle. This tool is well made, has a great price point but just did not work for my specific needs.

The described component material was not delivered. Zero Star Rating from me.
The red waffle vented spatiala and red claw are made of very hard rigid nylon. The product description of these two components describes them to be formed from pliable silicone. I asked for a refund as my application was grabbing a 14" cast iron pizza griddle handle to hold on to as a pizza peel went under the pie to remove the pizza from the electric oven heated to a high temp of 425F degrees. I'm concerned that the nylon will deform to a new shape because of the combination of the claw being in contact with the 425F hot cast iron rough edge handle while I grasp and apply steadying tension

Handy gadget that will get a lot of use
I really like this little gadget. I have loads of gadgets in my kitchen drawer. This one gets lots of use. I bought it to pick up the Belgian waffles that I recently started making. It's very handy. Not too big, not too small. It cleans easily: I rinse it in the sink immediately after using. The little circle thing on the end pulls out to unlock and then pushes in to lock. I just started using it for my indoor electric grill items, as well. Works great for that too.

Great Product
Product works really well in my Air Fryer as it is compact and the silicone is safe to use. I works great on non-stick pans as well as I am not worried about scratching their surfaces. The finger tong side is good for holding as well as picking up what you are cooking. It is neutral and dark in color so it does not show and staining. I use different color kitchen gadgets so having this Blue is okay for me. Overall, I am happy with this purchase

Surprisingly small, but effective. Pricey for what you get
These tongs are a little ridiculous, but they work surprisingly well. They are really quite tiny, which I read in reviews before buying, but I was still surprised at just how small they are.The tongs are a little expensive. I have bought larger and seemingly better quality stainless/silicon tongs for nearly half the price. These tongs do not have silicon rubber, but plastic coloured parts. The latch rattles around a bit and can partially engage when unwanted. A couple of times I have had to fuss with the tongs first before fetching my waffle. A little irritating.Otherwise, a neat little gadget. I'm glad I bought it, but would look at alternatives should I ever need another one.

it will do
a bit smaller then expected but should do the job was also expecting it to have a bit more of a pointed end on the 3 forks that you use to pick up the waffle that itself is going to be a problem seeing how the end is a bit more bulkier then it needs to be so it can slide under but we will see.

Specific for a reason
Oddly specific but exactly what you need for a waffle maker. I spent many months fighting waffles out with a fork while the griddles were being seasoned and this little tool changed my life. I make waffles more frequently...
