Pre-Algebra Workbook II: Grades 6-8 (Kumon Math Workbooks)

My daughter is headed off to an advanced 7th grade program next year so we bought her this so she could polish her skills over the summer. She likes it!! (I can't say she loves it.....I mean its math). But she does about 3 pages each night and is getting a reward when she completes the book! Im so glad there are materials out there that parents can use easily at home. The answers are in the back so you can check yourself!

I LOVE Kumon Math! My son struggled in the first grade and I started using Kumon math. Now he's in the 5th and two grades ahead in math. Kumon teaches math through continual reinforcement of concepts and the basic rules of mathematics.

The Kumon series is excellent. My oldest was struggling with pre-algebra, so I bought these books to supplement with some at home 'summer school' (much to her chagrin).My only complaint is that the books offer 'tips' to students, which are essentially shortcuts to determine the correct answer; however, as most adults know, those tips are only useful in the very early stages of math and can cause no end of frustration in more advanced courses where they aren't as effective. Oh how I wish I could find a math book that didn't rely on shortcuts.

just what i needed. as a private tutor, I am always looking for workbooks. this one is excellent and reasonably priced.

Just what I wanted for homeschooling my 7th grader. Starts with simpler review then becomes more challenging.

My son is doing a lot better in pre-algebra and is understanding the concepts.

Fantastic for reviewing. Good subject matter, nicely spaced problems.

Has a decent selection of problems. Its keeping my kid busy.
