Fairmount Curved Cross Chisel Hammer Wood

As with any body working tool, and especially hammers and dollies, they need to be shaped and polished to ones desire for the application at hand. The chisel tip on this hammer comes to a fine edge (not sharp) but as previously mentioned may need to be blunted a bit. Short work with a sander.

I needed a hammer for some light creative metalwork and the configuration of this hammer is just right. A nice wide slightly rounded face on one end and the chisel cross-peen on the other. The hardwood handle is a plus. A good price, timely delivery and a good product. I would recommend -- 5 stars.

Head is not loose at all. Great balance. I love it! I use it a lot repairing cars and it never lets me down!

This is my new favorite hammer. At 1/3 the cost of my old Matco, this is a great deal. The handle is nicely made and finished, and is good and tight in the head.The only nitpicky complaint I have about it is that the chisel end comes painted, which starts to chip off as you use it. I simply sanded the paint off the last 1/2" and then no problems.
