how long is the cable?

I bought 2 of them since the gauge of the cable itself was so thin using it on my Noah Car Cover on a 81 Jeep CJ7. The car cover has a hole on the passenger and drivers side so you can put a cable lock on it to detour thieves from stealing the cover. The lock is small and is junk. The cables are approx. 7 feet long. I highly suggest going to Walmart and getting what you need as it's easy to take back if you get the wrong size cable.

How thick is the cable?

Probably 3/8in. Yes, it can be cut with a pair of bolt cutters or heavy duty wire cutters. It’s not meant to stop a thief, only to deter them. It works well to hold down my truck cover. You can always go to Lowe’s or HD and make your own from much thicker cable. But, you’ll have to swedge it with a vice or crimpers. Good luck.

Does the Master Lock come with 2 keys in the kit?

The one which I got only has two keys.

Una alternativa para armar una caja de seguridad

Recientemente mi hijo viajo al extranjero y el lugar donde estaría hospedado no ofrecía caja de seguridad y es indispensable poder tener documentos como el pasaporte y tarjetas resguardados en un lugar seguro durante este tiempo por lo que compre este cable para junto con una caja hermética para resguardo de electrónicos y unos candados pude armar una caja de seguridad que pudiera asegurar a un mueble en la habitación, si bien no es igual que una caja de seguridad es una muy buena alternativa para tener seguras tus pertenencias. El cable tiene la longitud adecuada y la fuerza suficiente para hacer desistir a un curioso indeseable. Altamente recomendable para otros usos también, se que fue diseñado con otros fines en mente pero se le puede dar mucho otros usos igual de importantes.

OK in an emergency

Has a very basic lock, quite lame really. Eventually replaced it with a proper silicone jacketed padlock. The worst aspect is the length, it's only just long enough for an E46 coupe. An extra foot would have been ideal so I can tuck the lock under the car capturing the cable and it's hidden from view like I can on my other cable. I wish I could remember what the other cable was ...
