K9 Hands Free Fitness Pack, 10 to 30-Pound

My dog is a 14 lb Jack Russell, and I had to manually alter this product to make this fit. We run a lot, and with him pacing in front of me, it tugs. Thats not really the problem, the problem is that their logo on along one of the straps, making it impossible to tighten around his body. So we we would stop for a break, he could easily have squirmed his way out, due to the loosening. I removed the logo (with a thread remover, its sewn tightly on), and sew the straps to fit his body tighter. With that done, it is actually a great product. The bungee strap is a good length, and doesn't feel as though it's going to break or snap off. The waist strap just slides around my body as my pup makes his rounds, and I only need to tug it to the front a bit to keep the pace moving. I would recommend it, but if you have a dog <20 lbs, be ready to make some adjustments, they really weren't thinking about chest size of the small dog.

I've been running with my dog for 6, almost 7, years and I wish I would've purchased one of these years ago. Now I can just focus on running, and scratching, itching, picking, wiping and blowing. Additionally, I no longer have my dog yanking my arm out of the socket when she decides she wants to stop and smell the roses.I like the stretch feature as there's no bulky extra leash when it's slack. The only downside to this leash is there aren't any instructions for the harness. Perhaps I'm slow, but it took me about 4 hours, 20 minutes trying and a 3 hour break during which I contemplated sending it back, to figure out how to put it on my dog. A friend has a much fancier one that attaches to her dog's harness, but it cost $30.Oh, another downside is you get pointed at if you are out on city streets, but for some the attention might be nice. So there's that.

If this costed anymore than a latte, I'd give it 1 star. The harness is NOT made for a dog that weighs 10lbs. My dog is 14lbs and it's HUGE, bulky and pretty ridiculous. We laughed when we put it on her, the top handle is much wider than she is (see pics of her current harness in black, and the one included in the kit w/ yellow). The bowl, pouch and clip aren't the best quality, but they'll work. I do like the waist attachment and elastic leash, although it is a little bulky. I'll use the leash and waist attachment but rig it with a high quality carabiner and a different harness for my dog. If you aren't crafty, pass. If you are, you'll probably be happy with the end product.

In my opinion the leash is not long enough. My dog likes to switch sides as we run and when I used my old leash (hand-held), while inconvenient to hold, it was not a problem to switch sides. Now I feel like I'm constantly tripping over my dog every time he cuts in front of me. I'm only 5' tall so I would imagine if you are taller this could be even more of a problem. The leash for my other dog (31+ lbs) is longer, but it uses a different attachment (metal link vs plastic buckle) so I can't interchange the leashes. I wish they used the same connectors. The overall quality is pretty good for the price.

I previous bought this harness for my bigger dog (35-125lbs) and loved it!!! The price was excellent. When I adopted my new smaller dog, I had to get him one also! I order the smaller harness (10-30lbs), I expected it to be the same as the other however there were some differences I would've prefer it didn't have. The only con I have is the sports clip on the small harness, does not allow you to use a different leash. Would have LOVED if it also had the snap clip better, but other than that it a good harness for the price.

I bought this for myself to run with my dog. Mid-way through a 5k (with lots of other people running and dogs) the buckle connecting my dog to me unclipped itself. Luckily my dog is very well trained and stopped and waited while I grabbed her and put on her regular leash but that could have been a huge issue otherwise! Sadly I bought this for a friend as a gift. Luckily she has a larger dog and that version uses a carabiner to connect the leash to the waist. Hopefully that one doesn't have issues too.

Just got my fitness pack and tried it out for the first time today! It was great! My dog who once pulled, ran beside me and the elastic band helped her not to pull. The harness fit although seemed to come a little loose while running. Overall a great product and definitely worth the money!

the "extension leash" is about 4 feet and does not extend that far. Unless by dog is supposed to fly in the air at my side as a run, this can not be used without a regular leash attached to it as well. Disappointed with purchase, but I will try to make it work. The presentation was otherwise nice and I have used the collapsible dog bowl. Would not buy again.
