I love ice , I'm an ice person and I was tired of ice trays and buying bags of ice but this is so much better iv had the ice ball tray for months and I use it everyday still, the ice stays good for a long time in your drink bc it's so big and solid unlike little ice cubes that melt fast!

My brother lives to drink whiskey on ice and so this was a no brainer. Great price and great results; he's happy! Can't beat it!

I received the Samuelworld Large 4 x 2.5 Inch Ice Ball maker this afternoon and like its quality and ease of use. Unfortunately, the staff at the Samuelworld store who sold me this item could not be bothered to place it in a proper box or envelope for shipping. The shipping label was just slapped on the retail shelf packaging and shipped off. As a result, when the product arrived the retail packaging was torn open and the product exposed to anything with which it came in contact while being shipped. This is not what I have come to expect from vendors who sell on Amazon.

I've made a few batches of these ice spheres. So far, I think the tray is pretty easy to use, and the ice spheres certainly last a LOT longer than the regular cubes my Samsung refrigerator ice maker puts out.The tray snaps together, and has a few interlocking nubs that snap together to hold it securely. I find the tiny funnels atop each globe make filling the tray a cinch. There is some spill over from filling the funnels, but I've not experienced any leakage between the upper and lower sections. There is a small hole at the top of each globe to let displaced air out as water fills the space.The material makes it very easy to remove the finished ice sphere from the tray, as they don't seem to stick much at all. Some gentle coaxing and flexing, and they pop out easily and intact.The globes are not crystal clear. They are mostly a cloudy white, which I think is a function of most home freezers, which allow trapped air and dissolved minerals in tap water to cloud the ice as it freezes. I've read that putting the tray into an insulated box so that the water freezes in one direction (from the top to bottom) will result in more clarity in the finished product.I tried using some Styrofoam around the lower 2/3 of the tray, but honestly, I didn't see any discernible difference.

This is so easy to ue and keeps drinks cold longer without watering down.

This fell out of my over-full freezer and one of the four globes easily shattered on the floor from only a 1 foot drop.I can still freeze three at a time. Was my fault it fell out of the freezer. But not super sturdy.

The ice balls are nice and round. Haven't had any just not be the correct shape. The bigger issue here is getting the ice ball out. It took all my strength and effort to get these things out. And of course there is barely grip because ... it's ice ... So a 5 minute battle and the over all concern for my finger tips freezing and then sliding off the ice to silicone to blister later, I got the first ball out! After the first 3 i was just over it. Lastly I've never seen ice ice melt so fast in my life. it's as if the ice being in a ball made it more aerodynamic to the minimum heat of room temp water. Now I see why ppl spend the $100 on the metal ones.

I have enjoyed using the large iceballs.Tips for using productFor filling with water, use a tiny stream and filling ports are on top. When water starts spraying out of the weep hole on the side of the mold, it’s full. Also make sure both surfaces are wet when putting together.To harvest ice from trays, use hot water and pour over plastic tray for 30 seconds or so. Flip and run hot water over silicone silicone tray and they come out pretty easily.

Makes beautiful balls. Use twice boiled water for smoother crystal clear balls. Highly recommend.

They work well. They are easy to fill, and easy to remove the ice ball. They will overflow slightly as they freeze and expand, but you just snap off the little extra ice cone in the funnel before removing the ball.They don't freeze clear, I think you need an insulated mold so that they freeze from the top down to get clear ice. I ordered a second one for the cottage, it works that well.

They arrived quickly from seller. When I unwrapped them they felt good quality silicone and sturdy base. Easy to fill with water and they froze really quickly. Found them easy remove from tray, slipped out and effortless. Definitely recommend for kids as presents as they love filling them up and waiting for them to freeze and popping them out.

Not so easy to extract the frozen balls from the silicon. Clearer instructions for use might help
