great choice if looking for a low cost shield
ok, let me begin with, I am buying this as a corona virus option for long term wear in a mostly distance spacing where others not being able to see my full face would be a hindrance. However, I am somewhat familiar with industrial safety gear, so I am going to review it from both perspectives.first, it arrives in a box, with a page instruction sheet. It is marked as made in America by the Oberon brand. It was sold and shipped by amazon. The plastic is larger than most medical style shields, and I think that is a good thing. it is 9x12 versus 8x11. The plastic is also real plastic like safety equipment, not like crafty plastic like the medical types. You are not rolling this into a tube. It will stop debris flying at you. The plastic comes with protective film on both sides. One is white and easy to peel, one is clear and a bit tougher. The plastic is clear, with smooth edges and is by far the best in the $15 and under shields I bought to test.Next, the headgear. It is lightweight, which also means it feels cheap, I will get into that later. the band around your head is ratcheting (meaning you turn a dial to tighten or loosen). The part around the forehead has a thin foam. It isn't scratchy like the thick foam cheap medical ones, and it won't make your forehead feel oily and maybe cause acne like the foamless medical ones. It also has a top band with an adjustment similar to the back band of a hat. This means it doesn't need to be super tight to stay in place. It has hinges to hold it in an upright off the face position, but to be honest they aren't that good. Fine if you want it up for a minute or two, but it sometimes falls down. I was able to ratchet the band small enough for my 7 year old, but the top band doesn't have a hole/tab alignment to make that small enough for a child. you would need to adjust that piece and wrap with tape if you want the top band to keep it from falling too low on a child. It is doable though with good tape. It is a little heavier than the cheap medical ones, but not heavy enough to be uncomfortable. This was actually way more comfortable than the medical ones. It easily has enough space for glasses, doesn’t fog, is very clear. I could wear it all day.Assembly. It was a bit harder to assemble than medical ones. Again, peel the plastic from both sides. Then you have to shove it into this tiny groove around the headgear that is just wide enough and long enough to fit the plastic, then lock the tabs. It wasn’t that hard, but a curse word or two were uttered, as it was a tight fit and the first time I ended up shifting like a millimeter forward and had to pull it out and redo when I got to the end. It only took like 2 minutes, but the medical ones took like 5 seconds. This is way more solid. Now, as safety gear. The shield is solid, but part of what makes the headgear light weight and this shield inexpensive, is it is made more cheaply than others. I am a computer geek so I don’t wear safety gear a lot, but sometimes, I am planning network installation in buildings under construction. The construction team asks me to wear safety gear, provides it, and there is a quality difference in what they hand me and this. The issues I see that could be a problem in some shops are in durability. The ratchet feels cheap and like all plastic. If you were constantly tightening and loosening to resize, I think it will break quicker than on the higher end gear that I have been handed. Next is the shield lock tabs. They also feel cheaper. If you are going to be constantly replacing the shield due to scratches, these tabs are going to break eventually. To hit this low price point, sacrifices were made in the quality of the materials of the headgear. This is the cheapest that will do the job and is a solid choice if you aren’t going to mess with the adjustments constantly.I am very happy with it, and I would be for the level of safety I could ever need working in my husband’s workshop. I do recommend this primarily because of its comfort.

Do not waste your $
I understand this is a cheap product BUT I do expect it to work! The face shield does not attach to the plastic. Terrible design.

Reasonable Face Shield
Good price for a decent face shield. You have to assemble it, and be careful when you do so, because it is cheap plastic that you could snap and break if you don't take your time. It is adjustable, and confortable.

Really bad
Didn't even use it. All the claps are flimsy and broke while attaching the shield to the hat. Threw both items in the garbage.

Face shield was damaged.
The face shield is cheaply made. The tabs which clip the shield into place looked like they were ready to break.
