Let’s get it out of the way, this blanket does NOT shed. Straight out of the package there is minimal odor; there’s no eye watering or nose burning chemical odor whatsoever (it could be from the tight plastic it’s wrapped in, I’m not entirely sure). I just know it’s not that bad & I’m sensitive to smells. I immediately washed it alongside my current bedding, threw in some color catchers in case it bled (they didn’t seem to have much on them at all considering this is a jet black blanket), & stuck it all in the dryer. Nothing. No horrible shedding, no pilling, no lingering trace of any odor, just a ridiculously soft blanket. It’s so soft & I’ve been fighting my PomChi for ownership since I put it on the bed.This is my 2nd blanket from this company & both are great quality & vibrant. My other one has been laundered many times & looks brand new & I’m sure this one will as well. The only thing I would be concerned with is the trim possibly getting a little ratty over time. The little balls are an adorable detail. Keep in mind they move & are a tiny bit stiff so if you’re sleeping with this blanket you may have to adjust it a little. One of the little balls fell against my neck & half asleep me didn’t realize it was the blanket & smacked at it lol. Now I just fold the trim edge away from my neck while I’m sleeping.This would make an absolutely beautiful & functional throw or a fun, insanely soft everyday blanket. If you’re on the fence, go ahead & get one… I’m sure you will love it as much as my dog & I do!

We use this as a couch throw blanket. Overall it's a good blanket, it looks nice, feels nice, lightweight. My one complaint about it is when you wash it, the pom poms get tangled together and it's nearly impossible to get them undone without damaging them.

Edit: I’ve been using this blanket for about 10 months now and it’s become my favorite blanket. It’s held up very well to my 80lb lab and repeated washing’s and it still looks as good as new. I think I’m actually going to order a second one because I love it so much. Changing to 5 stars!I wanted a dark green throw blanket for the end of my bed and this one seemed to fit the bill. The color is really beautiful (though hard to get an accurate photo of it) and the blanket itself is sooooo soft.I’m just using this as a decorative throw so I won’t be washing it too often but I think if you’re using it as a daily lap blanket and washing it frequently it won’t hold up well so keep that in mind. Removed 1 star because I don’t think it will wash well.

So pretty, and super soft the pom poms are so cute at the end of the bed and my puppy loves the feel of it which is a plus to me.

This throw is just beautiful. It’s well made, really warm, and adds a great deal to the nice look of our new recliners. I couldn’t be more pleased.
