Impressive results
Amazing product and amazing results. I normally use flax oil to season my pans after a good scrub down. I saw a few reviews for this and decided to try it. It is so much easier to apply a thin layer and bake on. This was my worst pan to reason and it came out with an incredible finish. This paste will be a household staple now.

Works fine
I have been seasoning pans for years, to include occasionally stripping them down to bare metal and starting over. It took some failed experiments to get my technique down, but at this point I fancy myself pretty competent. (Fortunately, a failed experiment does not ruin a pan; it just means you need to strip the pan and start over!) I decided to try BuzzyWax because I saw it recommended by a YTer—Adam Ragusea, perhaps? I normally use flaxseed oil for seasoning, but I figured for the price it couldn’t hurt to try. After applying several coats to a pan that was recently scratched (not everyone who shares my kitchen treats seasoned pans properly), my tentative conclusions are that it works just fine—but for the same price you could get a vastly larger quantity of a regular vegetable oil that would do the job just as well. That’s why I have knocked it down to four stars. It strikes me as kind of an overpriced gimmick, albeit one that gets the job done. That said, it seems apparent to me that most of the people leaving terrible reviews have a problem with technique, not with the wax. A lesson I had to learn the hard way is that you can’t rush seasoning. Layering the fat on too thick will inevitably make a big mess that requires you to strip the pan and start over. You need to plan on applying many, many *very thin* layers of seasoning. Each layer should be a kiss of fat—just enough to give the whole surface a shine. If it’s thick enough to run when it gets hot, or to show the texture of the cloth you used to apply it, that’s far too thick in my experience. Thinner is better. You know those annoying fingerprints on your smartphone screen? That’s about the thickness you’re aiming for. Most of the photos I see in the negative reviews show clear indicators of having used way too much fat. If you do have a failed experiment, the easiest way to strip the pan—again, in my experience—is to run it through the oven on a self-cleaning cycle. That’ll burn off the seasoning. Wash thoroughly, dry, and try again. Elbow grease also works, but don’t use crazy harsh abrasives and scratch up your pan. That’ll just make more work for you.

easy to use, forgiving, small amount
finally something to help me with my lone good cast iron pan. and its small and inexpensive I did not need a lot. the pan is seasoned. I just cleaned it, heated it, rubbed this in, left it in the oven for an hour on 350. pan is fine.,

Great value -- a no brainer for carbon steel
I watched online tutorials and followed their directions meticulously, but I still struggled to develop and maintain a decent seasoning on my Matfer carbon steel pan using avocado and canola oil. I started over by scrubbing it clean with soap and friction, applied an ultra thin coat of BuzzyWax and baked it in the oven @475 degrees for an hour. I gave it another round and -- success! After a year of food sticking to the pan and arduous cleanups, I'm finally able to clean with a quick cloth wipe, enjoy nonstick performance, and my seasoning is getting better and better by just using the pan. Youtubers weren't lying to me, I just needed to use a better seasoning oil!

Saved My Cast Iron Pan – This Stuff Works!
I thought my cast iron pan was a lost cause after cooking bacon in it—it stuck horribly, and nothing I tried could fix it. I followed several other seasoning methods I found online, but they didn’t work. Then I tried BuzzyWax, followed the directions exactly, and did three rounds in the oven. The difference is night and day! The pan looks great, and even better—it works. I can now cook egg whites without them sticking, which is a true test for me. If you’ve struggled with cast iron seasoning like I did, this product is absolutely worth it. BuzzyWax is the real deal.

Good value, exactly what I need to season my Cast iron & carbon steel pans. Cheaper to buy from Amazon US than it was to buy anywhere out here. Unfortunately was not available on Amazon Australia.

This product is amazing.. Much better than using only grapeseed oil for seasoning.. Just a little dab goes a long way and produced an awsome seasoning on cast iron pans

Used this on a few De Buyer carbon steel pans. Admittedly they were the pro version with the stainless steel handles so could go into the oven for seasoning. Rubbed a very small amount onto the pans back and front after removing the beeswax. Wiped them down again with a paper towel. Followed the buzzywax instructions and they came out perfectly! Way easier than using grape seed oil etc. Not the cheapest product for the quantity you get but a little goes a long way and you soon forget the price when you’re looking down at an awesome, well seasoned piece of carbon steel that’s ready to make you loads of delicious food! Highly recommended.
