I'm a nursing student and sometimes I do get discouraged, stressed out and feel like I'm never going to make it through school. I started researching for a book with inspiring nursing stories("short stories", what nursing student has time to read novels?!! NONE) to help pick- me -up and reassure myself this is what I want to do with my life. This book has truly inspired me to keep pushing forward! It's gave me strength, insight, laugh, cry and opened my eyes understanding the great importance of my choice to be a nurse. Realizing that school is tough right now but it's not all about just me getting through school to become a nurse, its about making a huge impact in other people and families lives!! So in short this book has given me the gift of motivation to do my best and most important for others too!!! i suggested every nursing student should get this book it's truly uplifting !!!

I am someone aspiring to be in the medical field and so this book definitely was intriguing to me. Heartfelt stories and touching moments shared in this book. Great gift to someone in the medical field. I highly recommend.

I gave this book to my daughter who just graduated from a 4 and half year BS in Nursing. It made a lovely graduation gift for her. Great short stories about nurse's experiences in caring for others. She said it had some great stories. Hopefully it inspired her in her future as a nurse. It gave her some insight of what its like to be a nurse!

I've always loved the Chicken Soup books that are personalized for certain things, and as a new nursing grad I thought this would be inspirational! It was very inspirational, but as we 'critically think' as nurses, I can tell that some of these stories are not true. But eitherway, keep an open mind and you will still be impressed with the impact of patients on Nurses and vice versa :)

I purchased this for a gift. However, I started reading it before I wrapped it. Totally enjoyed all the stories I read!! It was a Secret Santa's gift!!

Like- keys to nursing, & self help book

This is a wonderful book. It has stories that will move you, bring tears to your eyes, make you laugh, and encourage you. The cartoons peppered throughout are sure to entertain. It's great to carry around in case you have a few minutes to spare with stories of all lengths, you will also be inclined, at least I was, to share with friends as well as fellow nurses.

Okay, so nobody promised us a rose garden, but some days we need a little help seeing the bright side of Nursing when we're neck deep in the "weeds!" This book is it! It's a short, sweet reminder that reorients us back to our true passion and sends us back, refreshed, to serve another day! If you know a nurse, love a nurse, or are a nurse... you must get this book and keep it near!

I bought this for my daughter who is a nurse and she really enjoyed the book. Now it's my turn to read it!

A very american book but the stories can be uplifting for British nurses. Read with an open mind and an open heart
