Canine Reproduction: The Breeder's Guide

This is one of the best books I have ever owned. I have the 1985 edition and have allowed all my friends who breed dogs read it. I thought it was a good time to order her new edition and I was not dissatisfied. Now they are thinking about purchasing their own. I would highly recommend it to any reputable dog breeder. I have been breeding Keeshonden for 32 years and the 1985 addition has come in might handy during those years but the pages are getting a bit worn.

Very good book with excellent info- I do prefer Myra Savant's writing style better but this has a little info her books don't cover. More like a text book

I recently helped whelp a litter of fox terrier puppies. This book helped me immensely to understand what needed to be done, when it needed to be done, and what to look for.

Excellent book - we whelped a litter of 14 Doberman puppies and it was extremely helpful to understand what to expect and then be able to reference it when we had questions. We lost 2 pups within the first 48 hours, but the remaining 12 are all healthy and all but one found new homes!

I've breed many litters, but still go to this book. Detailed, written by a vet who is also a breeder, and now updated after being out of print for years. I highly recommend it for everyone.

A must have for serious breeders. We had our first copy in 1985, and the new updated version is even better - great photos, too. I highly recommend this book for all dog breeders.

This book probably saved my puppy's vision. She had neonatal conjunctivitis, and because I had just read this book, I recognized it. The ophthalmologist did not recognize it and was not going to treat it correctly, but because I insisted, they looked it up and then knew how to treat. If you're going to breed, read... this book is a good place to start... you will not be sorry.
