Q: I plan on using these stands to hold a pair of Yamaha HS7s... my fear is that the stands will trip over or that the monitors will fall off.

I have a set of 8" monitors sitting on these and they have yet to fall. If you're on hardwood or a solid surface I would not worry. Mine are actually on uneven carpet, and using the carpet spikes, these have swayed, while my kids are jumping around listening to music, but never got even near tipping. The felt pads on top of the stand also provide resistance to the bottom of the monitors.

Q: These look identical to other brands which sell for less. Does anyone know if there are any differences between these and seemingly identical stands?

I recall it all came down to price and shipping when I purchased mine. I bit the bullet and went for these because I knew the name, not the country they were made in.

Q: Do i need isolation pads with this stand as well? i am planning to put krk rokit 5s on the stand.

I don't think you will have any issues with the way they are. I recall they come pointed isolation feet. I wouldn't recommend if on a nice floor lol! You could use foam isolation padding made for this concern. Google or Amazon search for them. The ones I have have a few degrees of angle also to aim at you from a little higher. You place them underneath your monitors.

Q: What size of spekers can I put their?

I got a pair of M Audio Bx8's on mine. They are about 20-25 pounds each. I think they can hold up to 100 lbs, if I'm not mistaken. I hope this helps with your decision making!
