Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint Workbook: A practical guide to mixing paint and making style choices

While I purchased this book at least a year ago, I have never used it. But, I gave the book a 1 star review after looking at it. I was expecting an instruction book, which this is not. I now see the purpose of the book- to keep a record of your specific recipes used on different pieces. How much of each color did I use, what was the series of steps, what wax used, etc. and color samples from your formula. What an excellent tool!! So, do not make the same mistake I did about this book.

love this journal/ just what i expected - broken down into the sub-style of shabby chic she explains in her books like french elegance or swedish, she lists defining characteristics of each style & shows her paint colors associated with that style. There are pockets at each section which I am using for paint chips & fabric swatches as I figure out what I want where. I can paint onto the page colors I mix and make notes on them - and I plan to record notes on my projects for future reference

Not what it was advertised as

I am thinking about adding Annie Sloan's paint to my antique store; I want to learn more about the paint before I invest in her paint. I have no issues with the book, seller, nor shipping.

A wonderful book! Annie Sloan includes pictures of different looks and paint colors and includes pockets and writing space for you to jot down your own ideas and save pictures and swatches. It's a workbook/scrapbook/instruction manual. If your into chalk painting you will love this book!

I was very disappointed in this workbook. It's really just a journal format for you to come up with ideas for a few limited styles of decoration. No instructions on how to do/use chalk paint. I'm going to donate it to a local nonprofit for their book sale since I don't want to waste my precious book shelf space on this one.

Love AS but this is not her best work. The tips are not terribly helpful - but it does function as a notebook of sorts for me. I'd suggest you spend your money on her other wonderful books and buy a notebook for your project notes.

Nice workbook. It's especially helpful if used with Annie Sloan's book, "Room Recipes for Style and Color." I believe the two work well together.

This is my second Annie Sloan work book! I use these to put my creative upcycling ideas in...before and after photos/drawings, colour swatches and paint samples. Great too, for recording your own colour mixes...so that you remember how to do it next time!

Mit diesem Buch konnte ich leider so gar nichts anfangen. Es handelt sich hierbei nur um ein Notizbuch mit ein paar Hinweisen und ist definitiv viel zu teuer! Wurde gleich wieder zurück geschickt.
