The product works with an existing finish so if the scratches have left areas without the finish it has nothing to work on. The product is not for use as a stain. **Q: Can I use on veneer?** A: Yes you can. I have a walnut vaneer chest of drawers and it’s came up lovely. Leaves a nice glossy shine. Some superficial marks disappear but others remain.
