Diode Dynamics9005 SL1 Cool White LED Bulbs Pair

I got this to work on my wife's 2010 Subaru Impreza Wagon by disabling the DRL since the SL1 is not dimmable and the Subaru by default uses the Hi Beam as DRL. The build quality of the unit is excellent, the tab is much thicker than the normal bulb so it take some finesses to install but that made it weather sealed. The fan is quite and the unit is cool to the touch. The light output is about double than of stock and the pattern is very similar. Overall, very happy with the unit.

I bought this for a 2014 Subaru Forester. I thought I read something on Diode Dynamics web site that these would work with its DRLs. They don’t. They are fully illuminated in DRLs. DRL can’t be turned off on Foresters. The way around it is to keep the low beams on all the time. On the bright side, the lights are significantly brighter and illuminate significantly farther than the stock high beam bulbs. Would be the perfect bulb if it worked with Subaru’s DRLs.

Very disappointed! Not worth the money. bulbs have different color one of them looks like 5700k and the other looks like 6500k and looks like it has been used before. Also it's uncompressed tightly with the fan . the other bulb is fine. there is a lot of LED with better quality and price.

Fit my Gen2 Chevy Cruze (2016-2019). Easy to install (one reason I picked these is Diode Dynamics has an instructional YouTube video for installing on Cruzes). I was unhappy with the Cruze's stock bulbs and these are a big upgrade. Increased brightness, improvement from the stock bulbs, no flickering, and do not blind other drivers (no one flashes their high beams at me; note my Cruze's stock headlamps are projection). The photo shows before (top) and after (bottom).

Pretty good on 2018 Dodge Durango GT projector. Still have some dark spots but not bad if adjusted properly. Easy to install and adjust using small screw at base of light. Definitely bright enough. I went with LED to avoid having to cut a hole in the bulb cover for HIDs. Would HIDs be brighter with no dark spots? Probably.

I ordered the DD SL1 9005 for my high beams. The low beams fit perfectly and look great. These 9005 hi-beams would not lock in place. There is a tab on the headlight housing that the back of LED fan housing would not clear. R&R Speed were great and approved the return.

Drivers headlight went out after 2 months they are not worth the 130 I spent. bs
