Simple and sturdy
Works great I like the adjustability on the retention strength and the material was easy to work with I made an optics cut in it to accommodate my red dot by using a pair of wire cutters and a metal file to trim and file away the material until I got a even snug fit around the optic.

Retention is spot on. Best bang for the buck!
I've tried my hand at making kydex holsters and knife sheaths and it's fun but always has challenges. My brothers in arms at CYA Supply have really set the bar for clean lines, smooth operation, and exceptional firearm retention. When I picked up the FN 503 I assumed the holster choices would be limited. I was looking for something tough and comfortable that also keeps the gun not only out of sight but in the holster until I need it to come out. I had an ankle holster that was OK as long as I wasn't trying to run and I didn't need to get to it quickly. I also bought a leather in-the-pocket holster, but I wasn't comfortable with it in my jeans pocket, I needed inside the waistband snapped to a stiff belt. This holster fits the bill perfectly. Compact, lightweight, and the SNAP of at the bottom of the insert was perfect out of the box. Small enough to be worn at 4 oclock or appendix. Finally, the price for a custom job is fantastic. Great job, gentlemen!

Great value for a high quality holster.
I had bought one of these holsters for my S&W Shield 9mm and liked it so much that I bought one for my LCP II. CYA checks off all the boxes that I want in a holster. - The inside panel goes up the full length of the slide, acting as a sweat guard. It also prevents any of the gun's corners, or in my case, a thumb safety, from digging into your side. - The material is Boltaron, not Kydex. The specifications of Boltaron exceed Kydex in heat tolerance before deformation. And some claim that it resists becoming brittle in colder temps better than Kydex. - It is angle adjustable from straight up to the standard 15 degree "FBI" cant. - The muzzle end is slightly open so dirt or lint can fall out. - Retention is adjustable. It also has a pinch/dimple in the trigger guard mold, which gives you an audible click when holstering. - It's a minimalist design with nice, thin material and a single clip so I can tuck it into my waistband and go. - The edges are nicely polished off to smooth out anything that can snag or scrape against your skin. - The cut lets me get a full grip when drawing. I can grip all the way up under the trigger guard. - The magazine release is covered to prevent anything from accidentally dislodging your mag. Many other manufacturers leave the mag release uncovered and call it a feature. I call it lazy design. Not to mention a safety risk in dropping your mag before unholstering, leaving a round in the chamber that can be forgotten.Speaking of lazy design. The majority of Kydex-type holsters will heat/vacuum form around a "blue" gun and call it a day. This means that all your controls... takedown lever, slide release, or thumb safety, are all individually molded. And you'll see bumps in the material where the controls are. This causes extra drag when drawing/holstering and can lead to excessive wear on both the holster interior as well as any finish to your controls. A smaller number of holster makers, like CYA, go through the trouble of adjusting their molding to produce a channel for your controls to slide down. It's this level of attention that separates thoughtful design from all the others. The first holster I bought for my 9mm Shield was very smooth in drawing and holstering. The second one wasn't quite as good. The fold which forms the sight channel was too close to the beveled edges of my LCP's slide. So it dragged more and caused a bit of early wear on the finish. After a few practice draws, my gun started shaving bits of Boltaron off. I contacted CYA and sent them a couple pictures to show what was happening. They sent me a freshly made holster, which arrived today. The new one solves that issue completely. The product gets 5 stars, and so does the company for standing by their product.I'm ordering another one of these for my S&W Shield 45. I wish they made a wider variety of holsters so I can order more (e.g. for a Walther PPS Classic/M1 or Springfield EMP). It would be great if they started making IWB spare magazine carriers too. But being a smaller company, I see why they have to be picky about what models they invest in.

After 2 CYA holsters and 4 years
I'll start by saying I carry a gun every day professionally. Literally everywhere I go. So to say I require a quality holster is putting it mildly.I own about a dozen IWB holsters, some very expensive custom ones. I can say with confidence the CYA holsters are my go to. They are often better than the custom ones. Sure, not a lot of bells and whistles, but they nail the basics so well. The fit is absolutely perfect for the guns I have CYA holsters for. The retention is the best of any holster I've bought, and is adjustable. And I mean very adjustable! Everything from "sword in the stone" to barely there. The quality and construction are very good. Quality kydex, screws not rivets, very good belt clip.. if you have a decent steel core belt or gun belt there is zero chance of it coming off without you wanting it to. CYA makes some really serious quality holsters. Absolutely professional grade at a fraction of the price. Every time I need an IWB holster I go to them first. To be honest they should cost about 4x what they charge.

High Quality and Function. Solid Fit and Retention
I bought this holster for my California compliant Smith & Wesson M/P Shield 9MM. I carry every day so I was looking for comfort and functionality. This holster fits my needs perfectly. The weapon fits in the holster perfectly and the retention is great. And the price is right. I use a fairly thick belt and this holster fits securely on it. The holster is designed for wearing inside the waistband ( IWB ), and it is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The materials and manufacturing are high quality and look great. I have purchased a number of holsters from CYA Supply Co over the years and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend them and will purchase from them again in the future.
