The more usual, standard Model 115-S, short probe model has a 2 1/4" long probe that is .415" thick. Long probe models have a 4 1/4" long probe. As I see it, anything else is just an inadvertant media erasing accident in waiting.** A: The 115-S that we have--recently purchased new--doesn't have an "on body hold down to work" power switch. You plug it in and it's on. You unplug it and it's off. **Q: does it have an operating button?** A: No, it does not. You operate it by pushing the plug into the wall outlet, you switch it off by pulling the plug. Remeber that you will have at least 4 minutes of safe continuous operation before switch off for cooling down. **Q: Can i demagnetize a steel table frame with this unit? can i just touch frame? the table frame was magnitized by high powered magnets.** A: Probably not. The Anis Han-D-Mag is built for demagnetizing tape recorder heads. For a table frame it will not be strong enough. **Q: can you demagnetive stereo speakers** A: Hello. Short answer is hopefully not. One of the components that make a speaker work is a coil around a magnetized core.
