Good idea except for a couple of things....My mom is 98 and we purchased this device to monitor when she gets up at night so we can be there for her. We placed the mat under the bed so it sticks out about 20 inches. It is plenty for her to step out on. The problem is that she uses a roller walker or sometimes a wheelchair. Neither of these work as the instructions say not to roll anything across the mat. So that creates a situation where she has to step off the mat in order to get to her walker and prevents her from rolling the walker right up to the bed when she gets back in.The alarm is also not very loud for caregivers who may be hard of hearing. The biggest problem is that there is a short or loose connection where the mat wire plugs into the transmitter. It works only if you giggle the wire or move the connector to the side. I suspect it may be a design issue so I am concerned about getting a replacement.

This has been our salvation! Before this mat, we would have to wake up every two hours to check on my mother. Now we just wake up when we hear the alarm and finally we can sleep in peace! The pager has a long range, our home is really long and we are on the opposite side of my mom's bedroom. The Only negative I found is that the pager does not have an on/off button, so even when you push the reset button, if she is still on the mat, it will ring again and again until she is off the mat. Other than that, it is FANTASTIC! Thank you!

Great investment. I bought this to alert me when my 94 year old mom was trying to get out of bed. I don't want to stop her getting out of bed, I just wanted to know when she was getting up so I could make sure she did not fall. Before we had the alarm, I could not get to sleep as I was constantly listening for noises from her room. Now, the alarm goes off when she puts her feet on the floor, and I can ignore other noises and go to sleep at night. At least for a few hours! I could wish that the floor mat was a few inches longer but overall it is a great product.

This has been a God send for me. My 87 year old mother with dementia lives with me. As soon as she gets out of bed in the night the alarm sounds in my room,but not in hers. I am getting a much better nights sleep now and she is safe from falling.

This product does work but it is very loud and it does not have a volume control. Additionally the is no on/off switch switch. The addition of these 2 features would be very helpful.

The pager DOES NOT WORK!!!

quality product / exceptional customer service dept to answer my questions/ would be nice if it had a weight limit for my dog ,but guessing thatwould add greatly to price

It has allowed my mom’s caregivers to get to my mom immediately if she starts to get out of bed alone. My mom has Alzheimer’s and is 95 years old.
