Beautiful, quiet, works great with wall switch AND remote
The media could not be loaded. I love this fan. It's beautiful, it's quiet, and using the remote control is very convenient. Check out my video review for a demo of using it. What a great price for a fan of this caliber. It is sleek, both modern and classic. You can flip the fan blades for either a beechwood or weathered maple look (pale tan or deep brown). I've had it for a few weeks now. The remote works great. There IS a slight delay when using the wall switch to turn on the light and fan, as the light fades up to full power. I think that's a classy detail, but some people may not like the delay. There is NOT a delay if you use the remote to turn on and off. You press the button on, and it turns on right away.I paid an electrician to install and he did a great job. He said there is a code you can set on the remote and receiver so that the fan and remote will talk to each other, without interference from other devices. I've seen reviews on here about "ghost" fans that spontaneously turn on and off. I am willing to bet that changing the code on the remote will help. Who knows--your neighbor might have the same fan and their remote may be controlling yours as well if you don't have a unique code programmed into it.Again, I love this fan. Very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. The brushed nickel is sleek, the glass bowl is elegant, the bulbs are not too bright, not too dim. Good for ambient light, but not really bright enough for reading. I used the included downrod and the total height from ceiling to the bottom of the finial is about 15 1/2 inches. You can't beat it for the price. This brought the room into the 21st century and it's very eye catching.

VERY pleased!!
There was only one other review when I bought this, but I was looking for something modern, smaller diameter, light wood WITH a remote, and came upon this one. It is beautiful, and very quiet. The remote is great, with three speeds, and a light switch that dims. If you leave the light dimmed and then shut if off, it remembers the setting the next time you turn it on. As another reviewer mentioned, it is not extremely bright on the highest setting, but that's ok with us.. We did replace swap out the included bulbs for halogen bulbs, and that adds a bit of brightness. Highly recommended!!

Really Nice fan, hard to install
I just installed 8-10 fans in a few weeks, and probably 20 in the past two years. Lately they all seem to be pretty much the same as far as mounting them. This one , for some reason, seems more complicated than the others, possibly because of the remote receiver that had to tucked up under the ceiling cover. One mistake I made is trying to test the fan before installation is complete (I do that prior to mounting blades and finish pieces in case i made a mistake then its not to hard to retrace your steps). This one would not spin at the half way completed point so i tore it all down and restarted and it was the same. I finally tested the circuit to find out IT was OK. SO i proceeded through all the steps, and in the end it did work. As the light unit is integrated into the fan, nothing will work until that is hooked up.All in all, after completion, its a really nice fan. One bulb came DOA but that's ok maybe can find a less hot option. It spins nice, no rattles (even with a 12" down rod option) and the remote works nicely. It DOES dim, so that's a nice feature. It seems to push a decent amount of air for a three blade fan. It looks like the blades are angled a little bit more than others. Its in a small room, I am not sure this would work for a bigger room, but a desk sits right under it so in this case its a perfect smaller fan with a nice clean look. Usually I don't like fan lights that much- this one looks really nice.

Great unobtrusive, contemporary fan with remote!
This fan is awesome! Great for a smaller master bedroom. Unobtrusive. Blends in well with a lower (8') ceiling so you don't notice it as much. Doesn't look like a HUGE propeller that's going to cut your head off as you sleep. Dim-able light is great to save electricity and create a mood. Love the smaller and fewer blades as well. A little dicey to install; the screws in the blades were tough to assemble but eventually got them in. We like it so much we're going to get another one for the guest bedroom. FAST shipping too!!
