An amazing look into Rock & Roll History
Matt Lee is documented as the world-record holder for the largest collection of Rolling Stones memorabilia, and his love for collecting is only matched by his love for sharing that collection with others. This book is a deep dive into that collection, a way for him to share it with a broader audience. But this book isn't only about the Rolling Stones. This is also an incredible insight into the birth and evolution of Rock & Roll in general, told through the lens of a band with incredible longevity. The posters, advertisements, documents, and more that are presented in the early pages show the more humble beginnings of many bands that are widely known to this day. You see the Stones did not always get top billing, but you also get the sense of their quick rise to the top as you see their name rise, quite literally, on the pages shown within. You also get a chance to see the merchandise that starts to be produced in their name - not much at first, but then an virtual explosion of items as time goes on. The decades-long peek into the world of the Stones is also a peek into the culture, artistic styles, and temperaments of the world as a whole, especially the world of rock & roll. What really sets this book above all others, though, is not just the information about what you're seeing, but also the personal vignettes scattered throughout. These really make you feel... *feel*... what it can be like to be a collector, to find that rare morsel that you didn't even know existed, to meet and befriend people who have similar passions, and to have the honor to be the only book of memorabilia to have personal reactions from "the major four" - Mick, Keith, Charlie, and Ronnie - printed right up front.I know this only scratches the surface of Mr. Lee's collection, but I am thrilled he has shared so much of it with us all. Bravo!

The history of the Rolling Stones told through the biggest Rolling Stones collection
There are countless books written about the Rolling Stones, but Matt Lee's book is unique. Matt is the biggest Rolling Stones collector on the planet; the Guinness Book of World Records has verified that fact. Hot Stuff is a history of the band told through items in Matt's collection, beginning from their first performances through the 2019 tour of the US. Matt's collection includes ticket stubs, concert posters, signed contracts, rare vinyl records, promotional items, handbills, tour programs, merchandise, and just about anything you can think of. If an item is a numbered limited edition, Matt has the item numbered "1".The book is also a sort of history of Matt Lee, the collector. He tells the stories of how he acquired some items. The most amazing part of Matt's story is that he didn't start collecting Rolling Stones items in earnest until the late 1990s! That he has been able to get so many rare items from the very earliest days of the band is astounding.Matt's collection is so extensive that he loaned items to two traveling Rolling Stones exhibits, Exhibitionism and Unzipped. I had the pleasure of seeing Exhibitionism - twice - when it visited Chicago. I was already aware of Matt's collection and I spotted his name in many credits throughout the show.Even if you are a casual Stones fan, you will be amazed at the items in Matt's collection and will learn quite a bit about the band, without the lurid stories that too many Stones books seem to focus on. Hot Stuff is about the music and the live performances, the fandom and the "merch." The book is chock full of photographs with small essays placed throughout. Each item gets an explanatory footnote. You'll also learn quite a lot about why some items are so rare.If you are a die-hard fan, well, you probably already know about Matt Lee. If not, you should. Buy the book.

The amount of history packed in this beautiful book is astonishing. Organized chronologically, it’s like having a ringside seat to the evolution of this extraordinary band. Never was story telling through artifacts more captivating than it is through this amazing collection of memorabilia. The contents of Hot Stuff represents a labor of love from the ultimate Stones fan, and a gift for the rest of us to enjoy.

Absolutely the best book on collecting the Rolling Stones and their history!
I love this book! The collection is incredible and the story behind each piece is amazing. Personally, I own many books on The Rolling Stones - including many of the, much higher priced, limited edition titles which sell for hundreds of dollars. However, this book stands apart from them all - it’s like a museum at your fingertips. It’s geared towards fans as well as collectors. Each piece is photographed and well described. The collection spans from 1963 into their current “No Filter” tour. One of the first pieces in the book isthe bands first contract which was signed by Brian Jones in 1963. It ends with Mick Jagger’s stage worn shirt from Foxboro - worn during the Foxboro show during the 2019 leg of the No Filter tour. Along with a beautiful art deco poster from their last show with Charlie Watts - Miami 2019. I highly recommend thisbook for anyone whom is a fan of The Rolling Stones. The perfect gift for someone who attended a Rolling Stones show!

Really fantastic & high quality hard back book of amazing Stones stuff
Really great stuff this book. I am a big Stones fan of course but even casual Stones fans will find this book great. The author has a collection of really rare photos, posters, documents like their first ever gig contract but also amazing photos of the band in chronological order which is fascinating to see. Includes Bill Wyman, Brian Jones, Mick Taylor. It's fun to see the most unique and cool items of his collection which tells a fun history of the band in the photos - super high quality. His collection is so well known that he got signatures from all the band members including Charlie Watts) on the inside cover page, It is a large high quality coffee table type book so great gift item too.
