Best pencil created by humankind so far, possibly ever.
I was not even on Amazon--I was just doing some homework and using this pencil and thinking how awesome it is and was FILLED with the urge to review it!!! Why do they make pencils out of wood anymore? A cheap mechanical pencil is 100x better. A nice mechanical pencil (the classic P205, also Pentel) is twice as good as that. The Twist Erase is 1000% better than that!!!!!! We're at 200000% now. It's soooo good. So the old mech pencils had this dinky-ass eraser. This pencil has a nice thick and LONG eraser that is made out of the best rubber or whatever. It feels really good to erase with, good grab nice texture, and erases very effectively (vastly superior to their own Clic-Eraser product). Whatever lead they include as stock is really good too!

My favorite pencil
Excellent pencil. Fits comfortably in your hand. The grip end does not get worn down, or gross over time from the oils in your skin like I've had with some pens/pencils. The eraser works well (nobody likes an eraser that just smudges or does a poor job), is fairly large, well concealed inside the pencil and easy turn when you need more eraser. It's personal opinion, but I like the fine (.5mm) size lead this pencil has. Also, the metal tip the lead comes out from is sturdy, I've yet to have it bend on me from writing or just being thrown in the bottom of my work bag.

I did not have any idea that these pencils are amazing, very comfortable click sound to extend the lead ...
I was using PILOT 0.5 mm mechanical pencils for a long time. I did not have any idea that these pencils are amazing, very comfortable click sound to extend the lead and twist to expose the eraser. Very good build quality and the best thing is its comfortable and firm grip. Its HB lead performs far better than PILOT 3B 0.5mm leads. The Pentel HB lead writes smoothly with clarity. I would definitely recommend this pencils.

Mr Cavooter
As an engineering student, I use A LOT of lead. Seeing as I have to do countless computations I prefer to write in pencil. I can't stand the feel of natural pencils, and it took me quite some time to stumble across the PERFECT pencil. Let me tell you why.Pros-Thickness. This pencil has the perfect geometry for my hands.-Comfort. That cushion near the writing tip is perfect, not too large and not too soft... Just Right!-Clicking Mechanism. The mechanism used to advance the lead is ingenious. I can do it mid stroke of the pen. Also, with it not on the eraser end, you don't advance the lead on acident.-The rotating, never ending eraser. Like I said, lots of computations, sometimes not always correct. It is a good eraser that will last a long time.Cons-One time I left one in my car during the summer and the comfort cushion melted. My fault though.-Once the metal tip that encases the protruding lead bends, the pencil is obsolete.Honestly, over the past 4 years, I think I have purchased at least 10 of these. I probably could have purchased less, but I love getting a new color and loaning them out to my class mates. On more than one occasion I have heard, "Chris, this is an awesome pencil." To which I reply, "Duh!"

Pencils are great
Until recently I have never needed a pencil, especially a mechanical pencil. I bought this set because the price was right. As it turns out, so far I'm more than pleased with them and would gladly recommend them to a friend. Good price, good pencils, plus you get extra lead and extra erasures. If they stay the same, good deal.

Good, cheap automatic pencil
Well made for a low-price automatic pencil. The side clicker is far preferable to the the end clicker designs. You can advance the lead while barely changing your grip. The lead reservoir is a little unintuitive, since it opens in the middle by a straight pull (friction fit). I like the twist advancing eraser, and I did not have the problem others have complained about retracting while in use (the simplest method seems to be to grip it around the eraser collar when erasing to prevent it from turning). All mechanical pencils seem to ship with HB lead, while I would prefer 2B (softer, darker, and easier to erase). The pencil body colors are nice, but I would prefer to choose all one color (not randomly assigned).

Great pencils but grips could be better
The pencils write well and the erasers are great but the grips are almost as hard as the rest of the pencil and do almost nothing to aid writing.
