This umbrella comes as advertised. It seems solidly built and assembly is easy. It is large and you will need some decent room on your patio/deck to make it work. I think some of the problems noted in negative comments have been fixed by adding support "wings" to the base tube and stronger parachute cord for the cable. I was amused by the negative comments that mentioned that the umbrella wasn't stable. This type of offset system MUST include weights on the legs or it will not stand up. The weights are clearly not included with the umbrella and there is a combo deal to by both together. Even with this additional cost the price of the total set up is VERY reasonable when you do some comparison shopping. Finally, if you can't take care of your purchase by lowering it when not in use, taking it in for the winter or buying a cover, or not raising it during hurricane winds, you probably deserve whatever happens to it. Take reasonable care of it and you'll be happy.

5 years outside in southeast Kansas. Never brought in. Color has maintained. No mildew. Easy to clean by spraying with a hose. A screw comes loose sometimes allowing it to pivot from where I want it, but tighten it back up and it's good to go. It is now showing wear and tear after it was left open and a storm came. Blew it into the porch and ripped a little. I do not feel it reflects negatively on the quality but does show it's durability. I am impressed with this umbrella and plan to purchase another. Tip: if you are in an area that gets windy definitely get a nice heavy base. Cinderblocks only work short term. And close it if there is going to be a storm.

This pool umbrella looks really nice and was super easy to install 🌞👍. The only issue is that it has a tendency to tip over, especially with even a little bit of wind. I definitely recommend buying some weights for the base—and honestly, you’ll need extremely heavy ones because of how offset the design is. With proper support it works great, but without it, it’s just not stable enough. Overall, I’m giving it 4 stars because it does look great and provides shade, but it definitely needs reinforcement.

I LOVE the color, I LOVE that it's 10 ft and enough shade to cover almost my entire deck. I LOVE that i don't have to have it in the middle of my table. I consider my reviews to be very honest and not just complaints, but this umbrella was $79... i was expecting it to be a little better quality than the $12 umbrealla at Big Lots. It was NOT better quality. I'm not exagerating when i say, this thing is good for nothing unless you want a kite. Seriously. Only buy this umbrella if you have ZERO wind where you live. like not even a tiny breeze! seriously!! this Umbrella is designed for indoors. I even looked to see if i could find out who the product testers were so i could ask them if they were paid off to clear this product!! b/c i'm not sure how ANYONE gives this more than a 1 star. If i was able to give this ZERO stars, i would! if you look at this product as a whole in the reviews, it gets 4 stars... i should have read more of the reviews instead of trusting the general opinion. To be honest, i gave this a 1 star for assembly. but i did that to pull it's ratings down b/c i feel sorry for anyone who buys this and was excited i was to get it to find out that it's complete trash! but honestly, it was not hard to assemble. If you read, you know that the weights are not included, that was no issue for me b/c i already had weights and we were planning of bloting it down anyway... This umbrella is a great idea, but to make it GOOD, you'd have to use HIGH QUALITY

We use out by the pool. Lots of coverage and very sturdy. Beautiful color.

We bought this umbrella one year ago. Most of the time i do not use this umbrella. We have used it only for a few times This product has a cone shape that guides the umbrella into its position. The cone has come loose and come out of place each and every time. This causes the string to rub on a sharp edge and cuts the string. This is not a well made product since it is expensive and broke so easily. Now I have an umbrella screwed to the deck with no use. All buyers should be beware of the defect in this product and I would NOT BUY if I know that there is such a huge defect.

Ground stakes did not come with the product although description said they were included

This was a good looking umbrella that provided decent shade, but we only got one summer of use. Despite being covered with a custom made umbrella cover from early fall through late spring, the string that opens the umbrella rotted and snapped, and the winding mechanism rusted and broke. See attached photo. iTech Canada said, “ unfortunately, we cannot do anything in your case as the manufacturer's warranty for the umbrella is 90 days after the delivery date.” I’ve had far cheaper umbrellas that lasted many seasons. This one is not fit for purpose. It’s a nice looking piece of junk. I suggest finding another one.

The wind up handle and interior mechanism broke after the fourth use.
