A good end-of-life choice.
This is an extremely difficult review to write and to rate. It's taken me a long time to be able to do . . . My mother knew she was going to pass and she chose this. The only change she wanted made to what comes with this urn was the choice of the seeds. She wanted us to replace the seeds with those of a 'tall, slender tree' vs. the shorter pine tree seeds that are included. The plan was to make the tree the center of a Memorial Garden for her. She didn't want to go into a cemetery. She knew that with a Memorial Garden it is much easier to sit and reflect, to visit, if you will. The funeral home had no issues with using it - they were actually impressed with the quality and the price (the similar ones that they offered were quite a bit more expensive).I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering this as an end of life option. This is one of the most difficult choices to make - whether you are making it for yourself or for a loved one.

They're a noxious plant and are removed in certain areas but tolerated in others because they taste good and are even canned
My rating may change after my created remains are encased in the urn and planted. I'm still unsure of which indigenous tree to use. I've toyed with using blackberries in a safe area. They're a noxious plant and are removed in certain areas but tolerated in others because they taste good and are even canned. I have a friend who's got a degree in horticulture and is always involved one way or another and his advice will be invaluable.

great! Larger than I expected.
I haven’t actually planted it yet, but it is a lot larger than I expected (didn’t read the description size before purchasing), but I’m not mad that it’s big.I just assumed it was about the size of a large cup. I hope it works great! It’s a gift for my grandma who’s husband passed away a few months ago.

I don't know how genetics work but..
Hopefully this tree will not get cancer like grandma...

What a wonderful parting gift to give those left behind
My husband and I had decided when we first read about Bios urns that they were a remarkable way to spend eternity. The funeral business preys on people when they are at their most vulnerable. Neither of us wants our family to be responsible emotionally or financially for our burials. What a wonderful parting gift to give those left behind.

Nature IS the most natural solution!
I guess it'll be a perfect final solution for my remains....someday.I purchased Bio Urn for myself for my last request as a preferred alternative to burial plot!! My daughters Don't"want to toss my ashes" either, although I've requested cremation in my final directives.THIS Bios solution is perfect for myself. I love nature, growing things & love the idea of my ashes doing something as wonderful as being, hopefully drawn up into a majestic growing tree.

Not much for the money
It was the perfect solution for my mom's ashes. She loved the citrus trees in our yard and my brothers and I thought we would plant a lemon tree and include her ashes. Before everything was said and done, we were still worried that the ashes would be overpowering and ended up buying acidifier to counteract the ashes. All you really get is a paper pot, a cup of soil, a few pine tree seeds and a bag of stuff that absorbs water. The kit was super expensive for what it was. Save yourself a lot of money by buying a biodegradable pot and some acidifier. You will be just as happy with the results.

Wonderful Idea!
Received my urn very quickly and love the idea of having a piece of my stepdad to share at my home. Thank you!
