Moon Rocky Mountain National Park: Hike, Camp, See Wildlife (Travel Guide)

Disappointed as I feel the author glossed over much of the info. Not enough detail to be worthwhile. Also a critical fault: The main maps that are supposed to guide the reader to the appropriate section of the book do not contain enough detail to orient oneself. This makes for a frustrating read for those who have never been in the area before.

Used this every day on my 7 day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I found this book to be very informative, useful & descriptive. It guided us to several wonderful hiking trails.We got to see elk and moose by following the books recommendations on where these animals could be viewed safely .

Great detailed guide!

I travel A LOT and I end up reading several travel guides in order to try and plan trips for our family of four (who have different abilities and desires). This book is one of the best I’ve ever used.First, the book is divided into sections so you can focus on specific areas of the park. Also, the information is so detailed - I could easily pick a section, find trails that worked for us based on length and elevation, and go from there. I have a hard time orienting myself with just descriptions and so I loved how each trail described told exactly what trailhead to access in order to get there.This book is a keeper, and I wish that the author would write more guides for Moon because she definitely knows what she’s doing!
