Perfect great
The Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment has been a game-changer for my little one’s skin. It’s super gentle and safe — perfect for diaper rash, dry patches, and everyday skin irritations. The ointment goes on thick, creates a protective barrier, and helps soothe redness and irritation quickly. I love that it’s fragrance-free and doesn’t sting, even on sensitive skin. A little goes a long way, so the tube lasts quite a while. Whether for diaper changes, chapped cheeks, or dry elbows, this ointment has become a must-have in our baby care routine.

A must-have for every baby’s skincare routine
I’ve tried several creams for my baby’s skin, but none work as well as Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment. From the first use, I noticed a big difference — the texture is rich but absorbs nicely, forming a protective layer without feeling greasy. I mainly use it to prevent diaper rash and soothe irritated skin, especially during diaper changes or dry weather. It also works wonderfully on small dry patches on the face or body. After just a few applications, my baby’s skin feels softer, hydrated, and calm. I love that it’s fragrance-free, gentle, and pediatrician-recommended. The 7 oz tube lasts a long time, making it a great value. In short: a versatile, safe, and effective ointment. I highly recommend it to parents looking for reliable daily protection for their baby’s sensitive skin.

The Ultimate "Fix-It" Tube – A Medicine Cabinet Essential (Even for Adults)
Don't let the word "Baby" on the packaging fool you. While Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment (7 Oz Tube) is practically a requirement for parents, I have found it to be one of the most versatile skincare products you can own, regardless of your age. The Good: The Tube vs. The Tub: I specifically recommend this 7oz tube over the large tubs you dip your fingers into. It is far more hygienic, especially if you are using it for minor scrapes or diaper changes, as it prevents bacteria from getting into the product. Magic on "Winter Skin": If you suffer from cracked knuckles, chapped lips, or dry patches around your nose during the cold months, this stuff is superior to standard lotions. Because it contains 41% Petrolatum combined with Panthenol (Vitamin B5), it creates a seal that actually heals the skin overnight rather than just moisturizing it for an hour. Drool & Diaper Rash: For its intended purpose, it is unmatched. It creates a protective barrier that moisture literally slides off of. It’s particularly great for "drool rash" on a baby’s chin because it’s safe if they accidentally ingest a tiny bit. The "Need to Know": It is Greasy: This is an ointment, not a cream. It does not absorb quickly like a lotion. It sits on top of the skin. If you use it on your hands, you won't be able to touch your phone or doorknobs for a while without leaving smudges. Baby vs. Regular: The secret is out—the "Baby" formula is almost identical to the "Adult" Aquaphor. The baby version is sometimes slightly milder (no fragrance, no preservatives), but generally, they are interchangeable. If one is on sale, feel free to buy it even if you don't have a baby (or vice versa). Verdict: Whether you are preventing diaper rash, healing a new tattoo, or fighting dry winter elbows, this tube is a powerhouse. It is the definition of a "must-have" product that you will find yourself reaching for constantly.

Not just for human babies
My ill senior cat was not eating as much as she should. She dropped weight quickly and we expected the worse. Vet prescribed an appetite stimulant ointment that had to be applied to inside of my fur babies delicate ears. The appetite stimulant helped with her appetite but would cause her ears to be inflamed, irritated, dry, chapped, peel and caused major discomfort. After a while the ears would look raw. It was sad. On one end I needed her to eat hence instructed not to stop the medication, but on the other I did not want to cause her this discomfort. Vet recommended baby aquaphor healing ointment. Aquaphor is a known reputable brand so I did not hesitate yet still looked it up first. I mean this was my baby we were talking about. Perhaps not human but my baby nonetheless. I immediatly appreciated that it confirmed to not have any fragrances, dyes, or preservatives. With that peace of mind we started alternating ears. When one ear didn't have the med we would gently wipe with warm water, pat dry than apply the baby aquaphor. The next day we would do the other ear with aquaphor and so forth. This was a game changer. Slowly but surely her ear skin improved. Less redness, less dryness, less peeling. Eventually there was no more rawness. No more discomfort. I didn't feel as guilty putting on the medication. Found baby aquaphor also worked great for her senior, dry, cracked paws as well. The aquaphor applied on smooth and absorbed nicely without leaving any major greasiness. Cat beds nor my bed were left smeared with this, which I definitely appreciated. Because I was only using it for ears and paws this tube lasted quite a while. I felt tube hard to squeeze at times and felt a jar would have been better but I made due with the tube. If you have a broader need I would suggest the jar instead. In my opinion the baby aquaphor was worth the price because it helped my fur baby. We were able to continue the appetite stimulant and thanks to this we got another year with her.

Great Everyday Product for Diaper Changes
Aquaphor Baby Ointment has been a dependable staple for our family through diaper changes with two children, from infancy through the toddler years. It applies smoothly, provides an effective moisture barrier, and consistently helps prevent and soothe irritation. The formula is gentle, fragrance-free, and good for sensitive skin! We use ointments with more active ingredients if there is ever diaper rash, but this is a good every day ointment.

The consistency is that of Vaseline. Although it is expensive compared to the other creams in the market, this one does the job! It's the best one for babies. Highly recommend!
