Needed them in my older house.
Aluminum wiring. Worked well to splice a line down to my tv. House is still standing.

Must have for aluminum wire. But...
OK you have no choice to safely go from aluminum wire to copper. Dang slotted screws, OMG use a square, torx, Philips head screw. For the high price they should at least be easier to work with. Trying to connect to short stubby aluminum wires barely sticking out of the box and torque (yes torque to do the right) with a slotted screw. The engineer that did this must not ever actually use them. Also they should make a 4 wire model.

Create foolproof connections but take space
Only thing mot likable is the cost .... but if one needs them that is what they go for --- hard enough to find as is.while they are not a 'must' for CU-AL connectors they are a hood idea .... and even in CU-CU & AL-AL they can be beneficial if wires have been cut too short amd battling a wirenut results in 'questionable' solid connection .... these will be absolutely solidThe only problem that can exist is unfortunatelly not avoidable .... their bulkiness in 'tight boxes'

After 2 weeks and developing carpal tunnel, I got my entire house complete
I bought a 100-pack of the 3 wire and two of the 25-pack of the 2 wire AlumiConns. I also purchased 25 feet of 12/2 Romex and used up all of it as my pigtails. I also purchased a reasonably priced firearm torque screwdriver on Amazon to set it to 15Lbs of torque. My house was built in 1971 and 3/4 of my house is wired with 10 gauge aluminum. I lived in my house for almost 10 years and had 3 different incidences of arcing receptacle. The last incident was the worse so I decided to finally do something about it. I did some research and found these.Over a course of 2 weeks, I turned off individual breakers, opened up each receptacle, light switch, light fixture, and junction box and Pigtailed 12 gauge copper to aluminum using these AlumiConns torqued to 15Lbs or torque. I took my time, cut the old aluminum tips off, stripped a fresh aluminum wire, and inserted each into AlumiConns with a pigtail copper. Some boxes were more tricky than others, but I have the satisfaction of knowing that every signal junction/connection that has aluminum has been remediated. It's doable for a DIY'er homeowner if you do your research 1st and take your time not to do a sloppy job. I ended up replacing several old receptacles as I encountered them too. I did get Carpel tunnel as a result of this, but I am still happy to get this done. The only con is that I feel that these are overpriced for what they are. but they are supposed to be a permanent fix if installed correctly.

Pleased
I'm not an electrician, just a layman doing some electrical work in my home. I've done plenty before - under the guidance of electrician friends - so I know what I'm doing. But when it comes to aluminum wire, well, I don't. My research indicated this was the best product for connecting aluminum wire to aluminum wire, or aluminum wire to copper wire. Not much information was out there about connecting copper clad aluminum wire to copper wire, which is what I had to do. What did exist indicated that this would be the safest way to go, if not overkill.I only needed two of these, and was pleased to find them on Amazon for just a little change over the per each price when bought in a box of 100. I found the product easy to use and I'm satisfied that I've taken no chances with my house, my family and the safety of both.I don't know of another product like this. If you need connect aluminum wire to copper or aluminum, this is it. If you need to connect copper clad aluminum to well, anything else including itself, I think this is it, but that's not a documented fact.I will note that they came in a plastic bag. No labeling, no instructions. Perhaps the seller bought in bulk and sells them per each. All I know is they didn't appear to be labeled for per each sale. This didn't bother me, but please be aware that there are some torque guidelines the manufacturer recommends and without the documentation, you wouldn't know that nor what they are. I'm a perfectionist so even though I thought use of the product seemed pretty self-explanatory, I did a quick Google search and came up with the manufacturers website / instructions. Will your house burn down if you don't follow the recommended torque? I don't know, but the reason I bought these was to take no chances so I'm glad I sought out the instructions.I would certainly buy again or recommend to a friend.

The ONLY truly safe way to connect copper to aluminum wire?
OK, so they are more figity than purple wire nuts, and they can be a little harder to squeeze into a box (or not, it depends), but these connectors isolate the wires in a stainless steel block so they Cu and Al never touch. No electrolysis causing resistance, and no loosening due to Al expansion. If you care about your results and safety, they are well worth the $$.

Best solution for pig tailing aluminium wire with copper
I wanted to copper pigtail an aluminum wired house and found that I was faced with very short wires in the junction boxes. I found the Alumiconn was easier to use than the wire nut variety, I was somewhat concerned about the size of the Alumiconn might be difficult to fit as a lot of the junction boxes had nails driven through the box. However with some planning on the wire management I found it was possible. Although the Alumiconn is the more expensive solution than purple wire nuts or the T&B ACS wire nuts, I believe having the wires terminated individually provides a superior connection.

ease of use
The King connectors worked well. You need to know the amount of space available when using them as they are large. The items secured the aluminum wiring as designed, and I was able to eliminate the compatibility issues when connecting copper to aluminum.

This two port and the three port are the only approved connectors when working with copper and aluminum house wiring that I could find on Internet research.

Confidence!
These things are expensive but when installed properly, according to directions, are much safer than twisting wires together. I know what I am doing and am confident of the result.

Passed by the ULc for use in Canada to join aluminum to copper wire in household receptacles.
Way better than marettes. The aluminum & copper wires do not actually touch each other & the connector contains an anti-corrosion grease. Threaded set screws make an excellent connection to the wires instead of twisting the wires together with a grease-filled purple marette. My only problem is I didn't order enough.
