Absolutely GREAT!
Front he time our daughter could reach an outlet, no cord was safe. We put plugs in all of the unused outlets, but the used ones were really tough. We had to continually relocate her to keep her from the plugs. When she started cruising and walking, she was able to get back to them about as quick as we could move her, so we got this. This item is GREAT! It has a wrap for shortening loose cord length, and allows for a number of different plug styles to be used with it. The cover actually replaces the standard outlet cover, so it holds on tight to the wall, and stays in place. When you need to access the plug, it's easy to pop and rotate, without allowing the baby to get into it.It has saved us from having to repeatedly relocate our daughter to avoid the outlets, allows us to be confident that she is not going to into a live wire, and is a great way to keep the TV or other items from being unplugged while in use.Absolutely a 5 star item.

works with large power cord
I read all the reviews for this product before buying, because I was very worried about whether a power-strip cord would fit. A number of reviews said it did not fit. I'm glad I went ahead and got this outlet cover anyway - because it does fit. We have one large power strip cord and one regular cord. You have to but the large one in the top plug and then curl it outwards to make it fit, but it DOES work. You wouldn't be able to fit two, but one is fine, with another regular cord in the lower plug. My 10 month old has now lost interest in the plugs since we installed the cover. It works perfectly, and there's no way he could get it off because the large power strip cord actually makes it more difficult to do so. Also, super easy to install. Took two minutes.

Pretty good but needs to be larger on the inside and needs a better lock
This product is very good at getting rid of unwanted cords. However, it is very small inside and will not accommodate more than one of those plugs that has a large base to it and some plugs with a large base may not fit at all. For example, I bought this product for use in my son's room where I have a plug-in video baby monitor and a plug-in baby swing. Both the video baby monitor and the baby swing have plugs with large bases (not just the normal small two-prong plug). I was only able to fit one plug into this plug cover and even then it just barely fit. The locking mechanism of the plug cover is not very good. It is just a very small piece of plastic that you press to release (see the tiny latch on the left side of the photo of the plug cover). I do not doubt that my 1 year old could manage to release this latch if he tried hard enough. Despite these problems, this is the best plug cover I have found for a baby's room. I definitely think this plug cover is better than nothing but I still do not trust it to really keep a toddler out for long due to the flimsy latch.

Very large, but works PERFECTLY!
I was in desperate need of outlet covers to stop my 19 month old twins from playing with plugs at all times of the day. I read some reviews and decided on these. The price was right so I bought 3 for our great room. When I opened the box I was surprised by the SIZE of these things! They are so much bigger than I expected. They stick out from the wall several inches. I wasn't sure I'd like the look of them on the wall, but I installed anyway to test them out. The next morning when the babies woke up, and came out and noticed them, they were curious. They went over to touch them, tried to pull them off, of course couldn't, AND HAVE LEFT THEM ALONE EVER SINCE! That's it! Nonissue! I am so pleased with these covers. Huge or not, they are perfectly functional. I don't even notice them anymore. They just blend into the wall. I'm a very happy customer:)

It’s okay
I have a bigger plug that my Roku has to plug into and it will not close with it on. It’ll work great if you have just normal plugs.

An effective plug cover
Easy for adults - tough for kids.I think most child proof items are tricky - they are either too difficult for adults to figure out (I had a toilet lock that I think maybe 1 out of 4 adults could open) or too easy for children (my daughter figured out she could slide her small arms in the gaps in the cabinets with the cabinet locks). This one is just right - simple enough for adults - not too obvious for kids. It held up well, my daughter who constantly unplugged the computer soon forgot that anything was even plugged in there - out of sight out of mind. Of course there is piece of mind that she won't be sticking her little fingers into the outlet but the real purpose for us was that it made it impossible for her to unplug what was plugged in.Installation - Easy, you simple remove the old outlet cover and screw this one on instead. You plug in your devices and then thread the cord through the bottom.

Would not lay flat against the wall
I purchased this cover to put in my living room so that my son would not play with the stereo plug. I was very disappointment with the fact that the plastic is very flimsy and when installed, it curves forward and does not lay flat against the wall. I installed it twice thinking the screws may have been too tight or too loose. Tight or loose, it still would not lay flat against the wall - the top and bottom would curve leaving space between the wall and the cover (even when the cover is closed). For those of you who don't mind, it is very quick to install and does the job - just don't expect it to act as your current wall electric cover and understand that the child may not be able to get to the cord, but has some space to mess with the cover.

Don't buy. Its garbage.
So to start, the cover does not set flush like an outlet cover as shown in first picture. So there are gaps around the outlet, and if you try to tighten it flush to the outlet it'll probably crack. Next there are these holes that go nowhere. Instead of lining up with the electric outlet hold down screws, they do nothing. So this really isn't secured to anything. And if you do put screws through the two holes, you'll destroy the wall around the outlet. And finally, the last picture. No that's not upsidedown, they couldn't even take the time to print their logo onto the product so it looked decent. Yeah it's an outlet cover, but it doesn't need to look like trash. And most importantly, there is no safety to this cover. You can bump it and it will pop open.

Good Product
Very easy to install and use. It's a little big but it does it job, keeps little kids from being able to touch the plug and pull it out!

Works great
Had it for over a year now. My very active 2 year old son has never got into the plug.We screwed a lamp onto the wall, put a 15 watt night-time incandescent bulb from Walmart in and put a dimmer switch extension cord on it. We plugged it into this outlet cover. So it can be a low storytime lamp or a nightlight and there is nothing to knock over or electical outlets for him to get at. There was this one lamp model at home depot which did not require a built-in wall light fixture - it just screws on and the cord runs along the floor to a near-by outlet. We are quite happy with the system. We mounted it a bit higher than he can reach and screwed it into the studs.

Does its job, but could be better.
Update: still working just fine. But out of sight out of mind is the key from some children. So if it's just out of sight you need. Try taping a cleaned out butter/margarine container over the plug for a while. It may save you having to buy a device while that child grows. I have this product in review. But the kids haven't touched the device or wires since. As its been out of sight out of mind. So does it work... assumingly so.This works well. Unlike most in the pictures I mounted this with the cords coming out the bottom just fine. I have the newer style rectangular plugs, not the round looking sockets from the 60s. I took the screws out of the plate and used the top and bottom holes in this device. they line up perfect for me. Clearly others have had issues if you read the reviews. But this works well for me. I have an active 1 year old that liked to pull the plugs out on one particular plug. So I ordered this. Works well. What can be better about it. Well if you have a power bar plugged in, they typically have thicker cords, so it takes a bit of a tighter bend than normally to make it fit in and out of this unit. But I managed just fine. If you have a plug with an angled head or a larger head it may not fit properly inside this unit. But for most normal horizontal plugs, its fine. Could the plastic be a bit better? Yes. A hair thicker and with more of a flexible type of plastic. This is the type of plastic that will become brittle in 5 years. The kind that would explode into many pieces if dropped in the cold. But. again, it works for me!

They break easy
The latch breaks easy making it open and close with ease exposing the cords which is exactly what you don't want when you have small children. I bought 2 and they're both broken from my just 2yr old twins playing with them trying to open it. The succeeded. Now need new covers. I'll stick with name brand Safety 1st from now on.

2 year old can pry open with some force
These are fine for crawling babies, but my 2.5 year old can yank on it and it comes off without depressing the tab and lifting, like you're supposed to be able to open it. A little flimsy, a little bulky for my liking.
