Crystal Water Filters 15 in 1 Drinking Water Test Kit - Strips for Well & Tap Water - Lead, Fluoride, Iron, Copper

I am on well water, and I'm right next to a lake. Over the years I've wondered if our very expensive softener/treatment system (which injects chlorine into the water to fight iron) was doing a good job of removing contaminants and filtering out the chlorine after it had done its iron-reducing job. After a 6 month run of "the runs", I was wondering if me and the wife were getting sickened by the water. We could have spent hundreds of dollars taking a sample to the county water people, but I thought I'd give these strips a try. They work great, very easy to use, accurate, and gave us peace-of-mind that our water quality was good. We had tested the quality for our fish tank a few months ago for basic PH and that test showed high alkalinity. These strips confirmed that. Best of all there are a LOT of strips, so we can do tests monthly if we wish for a long time.

So for a while me and my family had been reluctant to drink any water from our fridge or use any water from the sink due to fear of contamination of lead or anything especially since we had heard neighboring cities had, had lead problems in their drinking water so when I found this product on amazon after searching for something like this in store to no avail you bet I was excited to try it out after purchasing the product it arrived in no time at all and was super easy to use and understand comes with an instructional booklet and helpful comparison chart I was able to test my drinking and tap water in under a minute and I no longer have to fear that my water is contaminated this awesome product tests not 1 but 15 different types of things found in water and tells you whether your water is safe or not I am so pleased with this product and I recommend having this in your home also it come with 100 strips so each bottle will last you quite some time a solid 10/10 for me and my family

We have well water, and the previous owners of this house had the water run through a water softener tank. I guess I am very sensitive, but I do not like the taste/texture/smell of the softened water. The strips told me everything except the PH of our water is in a good range, and I also tested a brand of bottled water that I drink, because I don't like ours. The colors on the strips were EXACTLY the same as our well water! So the strips were easy to use, easy to read, and worth the money for peace of mind about the water.

After seeing a documentary on the Flint water crisis, I become concerned about the quality of my tap water. Since the water filters I use for drinking water do not comprehensively filter out all contaminants, I decided to get these test strips. The actual testing was easy and quick. I was also surprised at the number of actual chemicals that a simple strip can test for in the water. Furthermore, the sensitivity was good enough to discern differences between our filtered water and water directly from the tap. I would definitely use these strips in the future as it gives some peace of mind as to what is flowing through the tap.

Our well water is undrinkable at 27 ppm nitrate (confirmed via a health department test, when we recently purchased the house and previously confirmed by the previous owners, as past tests have shown steadily increasing nitrates), so we purchased a $1K single point (a small tap next to the kitchen faucet) reverse osmosis system that was supposed to bring it under 10 ppm and bought these strips to put our mind at ease that the reverse osmosis system was indeed filtering out the nitrates but that did not happen. The kitchen sink unfiltered well water is on the left and the reverse osmosis well water is on the right. The third photo is from the bathroom sink unfiltered well water at the opposite end of the house. As you can see, the results between the two unfiltered well water sources have inconsistencies and none of them are showing high nitrates, when we know for certain the two unfiltered should be registering high nitrates. I have to say that these strips done work, if you’re concerned about nitrates.

Bought this for my mom as she often forgets to add salt to her filter. This helps her see when her filter system needs something. It was a little confusing to understand but after reading the instructions they made total sense. This is important to have in a household, because I know for sure that I should not be using the water at my home to cook or drink. This helps my mom to see if she needs to do something with her filter. These were fairly cheap for how many strips there were so I am very happy.

Very easy to read. Got these to check if our water filter pitcher actually filters out fluoride as it claims to (according to these handy test strips it does). Packaged nicely, simple, easy and quick to use. However, the fluoride test seems iffy. I double checked it by placing one test strip in water that I mixed some fluoride toothpaste into. The test picked up changed in other levels, but no difference between filtered water and toothpaste water. Hence why I didnt give 5 stars. I purchased this product to see how efficient my whole house water treatment system is working. I had noticed a black fungus or algae growth in only one toilet, only in the bowl, and thought maybe that water was not being routed through the system. To my amazement, these test strips showed no difference in the water I tested from my kitchen sink to my toilet bowl. They're very easy to use, the results are fast and easy to read! In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with this $20 piece of mind!
