Versatile resource for German language teaching/learning for beginning learners. Cards are good quality, sturdy cardboard approximately 2 inches by 2 inches. They come color-coded and divided by category within the box. Each of ten categories includes 10 vocabulary word and picture pairs for a total of 200 playing cards plus 10 color-coded dividing cards, which list the vocabulary in that category. Nouns include definite articles (der, die, das). Categories are: Living & Home, Family & Friends, Money & Shopping, Food & Drink, Clothes, At the Doctor's & Emergencies, Media & Authorities, Sport & Leisure, Education & Training, and Work.Game play is like the childhood "Memory" game. Pairs are placed face down in grid form, players take turns turning over pairs of cards trying to match the written word with the corresponding picture. 3 alternative games are explained in rule booklet. Games can be played with one or multiple categories.

It is well organized by category and flash card/matching game. It might be a little too early for my 3 yo but we still use it if he wants to.

it is simple and old school style as in not high definition pictures. I will enjoy this game with my children.

I used this game to help my students reinforce their vocabulary skills. Also works with children and grandchildren of all ages because the options are endless.

My Kids love learning with these cards. I came up with many games to play with these.

Les cartes sont uniquement dans un sens, il y a deux cartes par mot avec un chiffre pour faire le lien. Ce n'est pas un jeux pour apprendre l'Allemand, il suffit de lire les chiffres pour trouver la bonne carte. Je m'attendais à une carte recto/verso, image d'un côté et teste de l'autre mais ce n'est pas ca. Cela devient inutilisable. En plus avec deux cartes par mot, ca fait deux fois moins de mots.

Ich habe dieses Spiel gekauft, weil ich Asylpatin bin und mit den Flüchtlingen auf unterhaltsame Weise ein bisschen Deutsch üben wollte. Ein absoluter Volltreffer. Das Spiel ist für jeden geeignet, der lesen kann und schon ein paar erste Wörter Deutsch kann. Kinder, Eltern, Oma, Opa, alle haben ihren Spaß dabei. Die Karten sind hochwertig ausgeführt, die Auswahl der Vokabeln ist alltagstauglich. Natürlich spielt man nie mit allen Karten, sondern wählt immer nur einige Begriffe aus (ich nehme immer 20), nach ein paar Spielrunden "sitzen" diese Vokabeln dann auch recht gut, nächstes Mal tauscht man wieder einige Wörter aus. Auf diese Weise kann man spielerisch und mit Spaß immerhin 100 neue Wörter erlernen, ich hoffe, es gibt bald noch weitere Ausgaben davon, mit mehr Vokabeln. Das Tolle ist: man kann gleichzeitig mit Menschen aus ganz verschiedenen Ländern spielen, völlig egal, was die Muttersprache ist. Wirklich empfehlenswert!
