I used this to build out an AI accelerator box... The plan was to have 4 Tesla server cards installed in a separate case and use this to connect them to my system. It worked at first, but I've found that if I hook up more than 2 of the cards to it, I get frequent failure to post. I'm not sure if it's a configuration problem on my part, or if I got a defective part. I've had problems with similar products.

After doing a modifying the Gigabyte ga-h110-d3a BIOS to enable “Above 4G Decoding", the adapter multiplier was picked up and plugged 4 cards in and HIVEos picked it and no problems. So instead of being limited to 4 GPUs to 4 pcie_x1 slots, I now have the potential of 16 GPUs to 4 multiplier cards. Pretty cool. But to all those who are looking to expand their rig, with the right motherboard this card solves potential growth issues (except for power, which is another concern you'll run into. Good luck

Purchased 12 of these when I needed 8 in case of failures. All 12 work fine and the 8 in the machines work flawlessly. I build mining rigs for a living and these let me expand my systems from 9-13 cards to 20+ cards per rig. I save my customers money and I increase my Hash Rate per rig from 806 MH/s to 1.44 GH/s!

bought for mining, ryzen 5 3600 on regular x470 moboworks greatplugged rx 580 and 1660 super ( and all other 6 cards directly to the mobo)work as intended and just great(i have not tested using all ports since i dont need and dont have upgrade plans)

I put it in an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II that I am using to mine with HiveOs, I put the 4 GPUs in it and it worked first. Remember that for it to work you have to put it in a PCIe x 4 port at least.

I was able to use the expansion card to run (4) gpus on a pcie 1x slot.It did take a few seconds for the gpus to initialize as the display went blank for a few seconds but i just waited it out and all (4) gpus were detected.

This is my 2nd one and I have not had any problems. Just plug it in and you'll be able to connect other gpu risers easier.

Let me at 8 cards to my Z390 mobo but make sure mobo supports excessive PCIE cards and also that it is configured correctly. I had to find a video that showed how to configure the mobo properly before I got it to work with more than 5. There were a lot of setting I never would have thought to change or even was familiar with and I have been a pretty decent computer nerd since the 90s, I just had never had any reason to dig into obscure mobo setting until now and I did not know what I was doing.

The adapter took about 3.5 weeks to arrive from China. Honestly I was not expecting for it to work given the mix reviews others have had in general with the PCIE 1 to 4x Adapters. The Card came with two screws and was packaged in a small box. I had plugged it in and connected my additional GPU's and my computer picked up the cards with no issues. I'm quite impressed for such an inexpensive card to provide me with the option of connecting four more additional GPU's. No drivers needed or changes in the BIOS.

The adaptor does not work with my MB and the seller is more than willing to address my issue. I will be more than happy to buy from this seller again in the future.
