I LOVE this product (John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Multi-Tone Revealing Colour Protecting Moisturizing Conditioner). I have used it and nothing else for years. That is, until recently (past year or so) when the stores I normally buy it at all stopped carrying it. The scent is AMAZING; I get so many compliments. I use it as a leave-in, after I'm done showering. It will keep and hold style like a gel or mousse...but it never makes your hair still or hard. And, as soon as you touch it, your hair is soooooo wonderfully soft. It's also VERY light on my long curls, which is very difficult to find. It's SO light, in fact, that it makes an amazing sunburn/dry skin remedy, too! Soaks right into your skin, no greasy residue, relieves the pain and burn and keeps your skin from peeling. Best sunburn cream ever LOL Plus it smells amazing, so...you can't go wrong.

I bought the brunette conditioner to use with the matching shampoo, hoping to put off coloring my hair for a few more years. Although it hasn't changed my white hairs back to brown (no surprise there), the white hairs do seem less noticeable. I haven't figure out why yet. I have not used the conditioner by itself and have never colored my hair. The only con for me was the scent, which is cologne-like and better suited to a man. As a woman, I would prefer a light and fruity scent, but the product's good attributes far outweigh that consideration. My hair is shiny and easily manageable after only 5 days and I don't need many of the styling products I had to use previously. I also noticed a big reduction in breakage, which no other product has ever done for me. And, since the directions say to apply the conditioner directly to the scalp, you don't have to be careful to avoid a greasy look. In fact, this product is not even slippery at all and seems to just be absorbed by the hair. Absolutely no greasy look.
