Miguel Street by V. S. Naipaul (1971-07-29) Paperback

Saved me when I misplaced a borrowed book. Very colorful read about ordinary people with ordinary lives, that feel anything but ordinary.

Sadly l can't write a review for this book as l can't read it - l don't speak Spanish. Perhaps I'm missing something but l can see no indication of this, is it unreasonable to have expected it to be in English as l live in England and ordered from here? I have only just attempted to read it so l have missed the return date. Poor.

OK, so I've double checked and I see that the description does actually say Spanish, but it wasn't obvious and I would expect a book sold on Amazon UK to be in English and to make it very clear if this is not the case. I see from the reviews that i'm not the only person to fall for this.

This is one of those books that bring out every few years to read, and I have given a few of them as gifts. Unfortunately this book came in Spanish instead of English.

This book is in Spanish. I didn’t realise that when I ordered it. The title doesn’t seem Spanish as it says ‘street’ so I think it could have been made clearer. I have given it to my Spanish speaking neighbour!
