Better than Hormel
My son and I enjoyed this chili. He does not usually like the chili with beans, but he had me get this again. There’s just a little something that’s missing, but for time saving and close to homemade taste this will be our choice. The can was larger than I expected, but that was a good thing and I explained the higher cost. The texture was great for making chili cheese dogs and nachos.

a very delicious chili without the canned chili flavor
Pros: This chili is really tasty. I like mine with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and saltine crackers. I have been making my way through every brand I can find of canned chili and this is in my top five for flavor. The meat is pureed and there is nothing difficult to chew or swallow. The chili isn't bean heavy which might be a pro or con depending on who is eating it. Finally, the cans are huge. I can turn one can into two meals. Some might choose to eat the whole can at once, but I am not one of them.Cons: There is a slight heat to this chili, it isn't bad but, those with digestion issues might have problems with it. This chili has a pureed meat consistency that some put some people off of it. My adult daughter thought I was dumping dog food in a bowl at first glance.

Best canned chili.
I love Wolf brand Chili. First thing, you won't find a thick layer of grease when you open the can. I can make Chilei myself, but I like having Wolf brand chili in the pantry. It's very hearty and I always read the story on the can about Kaiser Bill, Wolf Brand founder's pet Wolf and how, since 1895 he has guarded the recipe.

The grossest chilli I’ve ever eaten 🤢🤮
This reminds me of diarrhea…….no chunks of meat, just a creamy poop texture…….it ruined my taste for chilli……….i gave it 1 star because it’s kinda edible……if you were in a zombie apocalypse and this is the last can in the world……..then it may suffice………horrible, horrible, horrible!……if this is Texas chilli, I’m moving to Canada!………

A delicious and spicy tasting chili.
As someone who has loved all kinds of Chili for more than 7 decades I have tried different brands over the years. While browsing on Amazon recently for soups and Chili I came across this brand (Wolf Brand Chili with beans, 24 ounce can) for a great price and I decided to purchase it. This brand of Chili has been around wince 1895 and I had eaten it in the past. This large size can is enough Chili to feed anyone with a big appetite, and I found it to be delicious. I am very pleased with my purchase.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Training alone in combatives and self-defense).

Wasn't for me
Generally a big fan of all things Texas (and wolves in general) so had high expectations. Wasn't bad. Not soupy or watery or worse oily, so there's that. Can is large, very filling. But for me, that is where the unique positives end, unfortunately. No large chunks of meat, texture/consistency is reminiscent of paste (prior to heating, so sometimes "watery" is not an inherently bad thing!). Just kind of reminded me of cat food for some reason. Seems more like a very high-end version of refried beans than a masterful legacy-bound chili, to me. I'm a humble person, it was a reasonable meal I'd appreciate being offered. Canned food is canned food, it's always a lesser (and of course saltier) "consumerized" version of the "original" product/recipe so bearing that in mind the taste was enjoyable (I added seasonings to mine) and who knows you might enjoy it and have it become your new favorite. That said I prefer Dennison's Chili and Campbell's Firehouse. Never really been a fan of Hormel Chili. It just seems like something a panicked soccer mom would bring out at the last minute when unexpected guests arrive. But to each their own.
