It is elegant, sturdy and absolutely gorgeous!!! However, it is the worst to use.

We all know this looks great in the photo. Reality may differ. I emailed touch of class directly to ask if it looked the same on both sides. They diplomatically responded that it was the same design all the way around, which in hindsight was misleading. The tall grapes that you see on the front side in the photo are in fact not on the other side; yes a grape motif does go all the way around, but the part that is grabbing your attention occurs in only that one place. This is of little concern for those placing it against the back of the counter, but mine is placed on an island where you see it every side of it. In addition, the back side of what you see in the photo is unfinished or to say plain beigy yellow; and since the tall grapes are not on the other side (which would help hide this) you plainly see the yucky color when viewing from the 'back' side. While most paper towel holders have a fairly substantial wooden dowel, say 3/4 to 1 inch thick, this comes with a very narrow metal spindle (smaller than your pinky finger). Now matter how I try to readjust screwing in the spindle, the grape finial screws on lopsided. For $25 I'd say yeah that's about what I expected and feel like I got pretty much what I paid for, but for $54 this product should have well exceeded my expectations and it came far from it. I am not returning this, not because I am satisfied - I am not, but because I am settling since it looks better than what I had; but a far far cry from what this ought to have been, but perhaps I have higher standards than most (I don't know). Your better bet is probably the napkin holder ASSUMING it looks identical on the back side as the front, the napkins would hide the interior sides, and there would be no spindle/finial issue (and costs considerably less). In the end, I'll have to paint the interior a less obtrusive color and purchase a wooden dowel, hacksaw off the threaded ends of the metal one, and embed them in the wooden one - a lot of effort that should absolutely not be required. A little heavier and bigger than I had pictured but it’s very elegant

The media could not be loaded. This Paper towel holder is beautiful, but already broke!!! Just recieved on th 25th April broke by May. If you look at pictures above the threads for the pole broke and fell into the base of the stand. You can hear it rattle around in base.....no way to get it out unless I broke the base.....which I'm not going to do.The Company needs to fix this and they can have a beautiful item all around.

The paint job is very messy and it is not what I expected at all cheap made to be so expensive, not impressed at all I have no use for this
