Smittybilt XRC Logo Winch Cover - 97281-99

Excellent
Great cover my last one made it 6 years in a area where it gets -50 in the winter and 90+ in the summer. So value for money feel like its well worth it.

easier installation than other reviews
I hesitated to buy this after reading negative reviews from others. Then it rained, and I got nervous, so bought it. Once opened to maximum, pull the inner lacing apart and loop over the winch. Then pull the outer lacing around the winch and snug. Takes less than a minute. It has kept the winch dry for several rains, but it may let water and dirt in while on the highway. If it fails, expect another report.

No opening for winch cables.
So, this appears to be a decent cover for my Smittybilt winch. However, there is no opening for the cables coming off the back of the winch. So, there is no way to install the cover with my installation.

Hard to tie from backside but durable and looks great
The media could not be loaded. ย I used this for my Smittybilt winch on my 2015 Wrangler Willys JK Unlimited, looks great, is durable, I have had no issues on interstate or other. I just took the string it comes with tied together in middle put one end through little latch ball then ran through eyelets all the way around put other end in pull tab, when pull ball tab was snug then tied a bow and has been good ever since! Or go to hardware store and make your own bungee setup.

Looks great and it got to me fast.
I was recently gifted a Smittybuilt XRC9.5 winch, looked on Amazon and was able to find a perfect winch cover for it, price was great, looks very durable, but haven't had it long enough to see how it will hold up to the weather.

Blew off
I would leave a pic but not sure where it blew off at. No instructions on how to properly secure it except for 1 crappy YouTube video! I threaded it underneath the winch but somehow the strap came loose.

Doesn't fit well. Difficult to install. Looks like crap.
Product sold as fitting X2O smittybuilt winch. Uh, nope. Good luck trying to get it on. Not worth it. It's easier to change my synthetic line than to install this cover.

Does what's it intended to do
I like it, first one I've owned including a winch, of course with time it well tell if durability well hold up. So far 2 weeks with rain on and off so far winch cover has protected it from rain etc. Not the best of picture but but color and words are not faded on arrival and has added extra to the jeep overall. Hope it helps

Good product after some struggle
Hard to make this fit when using the stock Mopar bumper. That said, it still works very well keeping trail boogerโs out while 4x4in

Straps sucks
The straps that hold the cover down suck so I upgraded to bungee cord using the same plastic looks it came with works perfect now
