Bought this book as a look-up reference and found it very handy for all areas with good examples. Well worth the investment for undergrads and those needing a memory jogger in postgrad.

It covered a general spectrum of techniques but didn't cover the double partial Lorentz wave equation analysis I was looking for.

I ordered this book as a gift for a youngster.The book has a enlightening and delightful choices of topics, for instances, elliptic functions and group theory. A must have to introduce to the students about the beauty of mathematics and this also gives a friendly invitation to student about the basics of contemporary mathematics.
