Distant Publics: Development Rhetoric and the Subject of Crisis (Composition, Literacy, and Culture) Paperback – Illustrated, August 19, 2012

I am a student of rhetoric and composition, and I was pretty excited about the ideas in this book, especially the last chapter. Rice shows how she used everyday history and local events to push students to think and inquire beyond previous boundaries. If you are a writing teacher, or involved in public discourse, you will probably find this book interesting.
